Fair enough, its my opinion I just had to get it out of my system, but why the fuck did some one dock my Karma points? just for an opinion? O Dusty was way better. I have no idea. You weren't the least bit disrespectful. I really don't like that system, to be honest. If you're going to let people dock karma then it should at least be a transparent system where you know who did it or something. Seems like there are some serious lurkers who do nothing but smite people.  And I was thinking about what you said. To me, the reason they sounded so southern-rock when they first came out was because they hadn't had any influences outside gospel and the occasional country song. Now that they're out in the world, experiencing things previously unknown to them, their sound is changing. Some of the music they've been listening to has seeped into their sound. Personally, I don't mind it but I can see where some would prefer their earlier sound. I just know that there will never be another Y&YM. The guys who made that album are grown up and different people now. So I embrace the new sound and when I miss the old sound, I dig out Y&YM and reminisce. |

Im not saying this to anyone and i didnt dock your karma but im just fed up of people going on about how they dont like a song, i mean there were loads of Crawl threads and it just got annoying! i love peoples opinions just not about music because everyone is different

Sometimes they aren't going to be happy. If you don't like that, then maybe just visit the sections that don't have to do with the music? I mean, I could understand this if people were joining the board just to shit on the band *coughmikecough* but we're fans who've been around a while and we have the right to our opinion. Aren't we? |

You got called out on what you said and now you're backtracking and trying to act like you didn't do anything to be called out. I mean, we're discussing "Sex On Fire" in the SEX ON FIRE thread. Where else should be have discussed this? And if you don't want to discuss musical opinions because of the 'vastness' of it, that's totally cool. But you shouldn't then come into a discussion thread about the music and then complain about people having differing opinions. And that stuff about karma is bull. Ruby got docked because she wasn't completely positive about the song. Sorry, but that's not cool. |

It doesn't matter now, I knew this forum was kinda like this which is why I always stuck to O Dusty, its just that I didn't think it was that bad, that every time you said something, some dick would smite you for it.

you can like it or not but you cant deny this is their worst first single, maybe their worst single no matter if it is the first, second, third etc
theres one part of the song that really pisses me off, and that moment is around the minute 2:30 when the song slows down a little bit....im 100% sure that the crowd at the concerts is going to clap along with the drums as if it was a song by coldplay or u2, hope you know what i mean....and it makes me angry cus i at least for me, thats a really cheap trick in order to connect with the crowd
