so far (basing on what i've read) Use Somebody is a little bit controversial
I really really like the song, as all of you have already said, its very different from what KOL has done, but thats exactly why i like the song
as i said on the other thread, i think this song may become something similar as what Starlight represents for Muse, of course, in case it becomes a single....i think it has what it takes to reach more people and give kol some new fans

I really love that song...when it first started I didn't think I was but its great.
Yeah its nothing like their other stuff, but I don't want everything to sound the same...I like that their albums all sound different. I think its a nice change...but I do see how the people that want the old YAYM days wouldn't like it.

like calebs vocals during the verses.
music is horrible and generic. sounds like every indie rock song ever made. obviously going for the big bucks, which i have no problem with. but i mean damn you are kings of leon not coldplay
in between. i have to hear the entire thing

It's amazing. It might not be the dirty garagey rock that got me into the Kings but it's still awesome.

it sounds awesome.
they're being inspired by different stages in their lives- they're not the coked-up modelizers anymore...of course the music is gonna be different.

where did u peeps hear this Use Something song? Rosie its the youtube video in the other thread that says "view this trailer" or something like that. i think the song is up there with the beautifulness of Arizona and Knocked Up for moi...just love it! |

Apart from thinking that the intro is too Coldplay-ish, I totally love this song, it's really grown on me from the 100000 times I've watched the video. I can't wait to hear it in full. Caleb's voice sounds awesome and the lyrics are sweet and moving. Great backing vocals, very anthemic.

ooohh thanks for explaining MrsJ  If thats the case... i swear i think i died a little in side when i heard caleb singing it.. i thought it was as cheesy as hell.. however, like someone said, they were all in love during the album-making process, so i doubt that didnt influence em. Im not gonna judge before the album drops though...an album is a story, so i cant i think its cool theyre releasing a vid everyday./ thats so cool, esp coz we've been through periods of material-deprivation. lol is that even a word?  |
