I worship the voice of Caleb Followill. I have to hear it each and every day :-)
Also love the way his southern drawl comes out when he sings the opening line of 'Closer', 'Stranded in this spooky town'.

I'm listening to that very song right now. What an awesome b-side. I get the chills every time I hear him sing, 'goin' goin' gone'.

He has got the best rock voice of any band out at the moment, I love the way he sings on the new album, he just brings out a lot more emotion, his voice is perfect on Revelry, god he makes me want to cry his voice is that good

he has a really good voice, its not only awesome but also unique
for example, julian from the strokes has a good voice but sometimes he sounds like liam gallagher, who sounds like a lennon wannabe most of the time

Caleb has a natural ability with phrasing and timing in his singing. Frank Sinatra was supposed to be really good at this, and I think Caleb is one of those people too. One day I might offer some examples, but off the top of my head his vocal on Trani is made by this.
I do think his voice now is really coming into its own, it's absolutely wonderful.
There is a part of me however that would like to hear him, just for 5 minutes, swagger and spit and scowl and mumble his way through Wasted Time like he used to. For goodness sake, in 5 minutes he could just about sing it twice! He could do it at my house, no one else need know.
One criticism - I wish he would leave out the superfluous oah-oh-ohs that are creeping in. King of the Rodeo, for example, was just fine before, in my opinion.

I love love love his voice but I do miss his older style.
Can't complain though. It's awesome no matter how he sings.

The first thing that attracted me to Kings of Leon was the opening of Red Morning Light - Matthew's guitar intro, then (WHAM!) "Y'know you could'a bin a wonder....." Loved that voice.
First thing I ever heard. Chin on floor time.
Makes me laugh to remember it and I've only ever had a similar experience one other time........ and you know I'm old!

I actually think i might, well, love Caleb. he's getting harder and harder to ignore /avoid / look through, over, round. He is, like, a cool dude and i would like to have his babies hahaa
yeah and to actually say something rather more relevant to the topic of the thread; he has this great quality where he actually sings to you. so anyone who says he doesn't interact enough with the crowd is talking outta their beehind cause you can't get much more personal than that! seriously though he is actually god when he opens his gob. fact, that.

He does actually like them (think that could have something to do with me talking about them loads), but he's adamant that Caleb doesn't sing "properly"
