Do u know what i think is hilarious?? Imagine if Manhattan is really called Cold Desert and we're all here calling it Manhattan! I'd laugh if they changed it to Manhattan for all of us happyaloners.....  |

I think the impression they probably get from message boards - if they even log in at all - is that we're all just a bunch of gossipy, mean-spirited fans out to get their girlfriends. We know, of course, that 90% of stuff is positive towards the band, but the other 10% that's negative & hurtful is probably what they zero in on and are made aware of by other people. By the way, this is all just my opinion....I have no knowledge of what they're thinking or feeling!!!

I hope they don't think that, and 10% is a bit much! I'd say like 2%, tops! And I'd be pretty damn dissapointed is that's what they thought of us. There's enough really touching comments on here towards the Kings and eachother to overshadow the bad ones, I think. Anyways, how do we know they don't like us! Like you said, they don't come on here anyways... And QueenofftheRodeo, I was thinking that too, it is a funny and slighty  thought. Haha. |

Yeah, we really have no idea if it's called Manhattan or not - I posted a setlist a PJ fan got at the first date at West Palm Beach and it included 'Crawl' and then, towards the end of the set, 'Manhattan'. But they didn't play Manhattan that night (whatever it is)! So when a second new song was played the following night at the same point in the setlist I guessed it was Manhattan. But who knows???
As for whether or not the Kings think kindly of Happy Aloners...hmm, I know if I were them and flicked through all the threads that said the usual nice things, and then came across one where a few people were calling my girlfriend a whore for no good reason, it's likely that the whore comments are what I'd remember. That's just human nature.

Hahaha Queen ^^^ But Bornagirl, I don't recall any ones comments being as vicious as that. And noone has spoken about the girls much at all in the last few months. But I see what your saying completely. I do think that with the way the forum is at the moment, if a king came and had a peek I think they'd be pretty impressed |

That's just human nature. wow bornagirl76, this one hits close to home. lemme explain some reasoning behind me calling a certain girlfriend a whore "for no reason" We've been nice to KOL and their girlfriends, and we get nothing. We're mean and we get lots of attention. It's like when you're a little kid and you do "bad" things to get attention. But more importantly than that, I've been nice to the girlfriends I think deserve it and I've said the things I beleive to be true about the girlfriend you might be referring to. It's a public forum and I have that right. |

Hey Laura I was just about to post back to Sozzel to agree with her that everyone's been pretty nice lately. I know you probably won't believe me, but I honestly wasn't referring to you (I remember you called that certain gf an 'attention whore' which is different from a "whore", right?). Yep, you have the right to say whatever you want about their girlfriends. All I'm saying is that if you exercise that right and say less-than-pleasant things about them, it's only natural that the Kings would base their opinion on Happy Aloners on that (if they read it, of course - EDIT: which they have done in the past and probably will again).

I woudn't be surprised if the kings have never been on this site. They embody rock and roll, sex drugs and drinking. i can't imagine caleb sitting at the PC scrolling through different threads...but who knows you get the occasional person pretending to be Jared but i'm not sure it's more than that. |

You're right!
However my sympathy for them diminished greatly after all the stuff they did to Buck. It might take a while for them to recover it...I'm still a HUGE fan and I know I'll get to the point of full-on admiration again but sometimes I just say bitter things to provoke them. Like, "BRING IT ON!" <---MOSTLY TO THE GF

ha I saw an interview on buckyboo and caleb says in 'the bucket' the 'baldiiiiiinnngg' part is talking about how he has a receeding hairline. i'll try to get hold of it tomorrow. *yawn* too tired tonight. night. |
