Also, just out of interest, was the song announced as Manhattan or is it in the lyrics?
Just wondered where the title comes from, not that I' have a problem with it if it is called Manhattan lol

Hey Sam I have heard from numerous people on KOL forums/ Pearl Jam forums that someone recieved the actual setlist after the tampa show. On the setlist were the 2 new songs.. 1 obviously being Crawl and the other was titled Manhattan.... The posters are all legit die hard Pearl Jam fans (I also am a die hard PJ fan) hope this helps!

doesn't pearl jam record and release almost all their live shows almost like a bootleg? Anyway, i wonder if someone has a soundboard recording somewhere of the kings playing and maybe get a better version of crawl and Manhattan

Cool, thanks. That's a pretty good source! (Even if it does only turn out to be a working title, which I doubt) +K

i know people do the predictable 'i like the old stuff better than the new stuff' rant but i love the fact that these guys have almost dropped 4 albums in such a short amount of time, and they show so much growth. and for such a young band it awesome to see that they're personal growth correlates with their musical growth. yeah the ld stuff was 'funkier' but these new songs expand on BOTT in terms of the soulful/earthy/emotional feel of the song. its like the more life experience they get the better there songs get. instead of repeating the same old formula. a lot of my fav bands did there best stuff when hey finally hit 'adulthood' in their thirties. it blows my mind to think of where they will be then. after experiencing some of life's inevitable tragedies, as stoopid as that sounds....

yeh it annoys me when people bring up the arguement about old stuff vs new stuff, its just the band moving on, all bands create new sounds and it would be boring if they didn't.
does this song remind anyone else of Baywatch when they hear it? lol just me?!

Cool, thanks. That's a pretty good source! (Even if it does only turn out to be a working title, which I doubt) +K Hey Sam, as Mookie says the PJ people have been giving us setlists (they're so friendly and helpful over there!). The 'official' setlist I posted elsewhere on the forum was from the first night at West Palm Beach and 'Manhattan' was listed towards the end of their set. They didn't play it though. Maybe they decided against doing it but went ahead the following night in Tampa because the audience was (reportedly) much better. Mookie, did the PJ folks give you a Tampa setlist? I've only got WPB.

Agreed its awesome, I think it just reminds me of an 80/90's American TV show and Baywatch was the first that sprung to mind.
Might just be me though!!!

"Mookie, did the PJ folks give you a Tampa setlist? I've only got WPB. "
I didnt get an actual copy of the setlist, but I was at both shows and the only difference was they swapped out Charmer in Tampa and instead played "Manhattan". I wasnt dissapointed by this move LOL.. Other than that, they played the same setlist both nights.
