More excellent work from the boy wonder on OBTN. Always impressed. Bass isn't as tricky as lead guitar or drums ('specially like Nate plays them) but a song would have no soul without a bass. Perfectly said! Without bass a song would be dead.

I love Jared's bass work, I can't choose one line I most like cause there are so many. Most of all I just love how loud his bass is. Amazing!

^ Yeah the other bands I like I hear bass and everything but its kept quieter than the other instruments but with KOL its different. I can hum a bassline with them or its the first thing I notice....I can't describe it but I know you guys get me.

I don't think Jared gets enough recognition among today's bassists. Who else could make up such amazing riffs like in Milk, Slow Night, So long, and Razz. More recognition, thats what I say. I love learning his basslines!!!!! It doesn't matter if their impossibly difficult or not, so long as they conjure up that sense of enlightenment you get from hearing an amazing bassline. The feeling come from your diaphram, i think.

I agree, they are the most fun basslines to learn.
I love the bass in Trunk. Particularly the chorus, it just relaxes me.
