I'm flicking through my ipod trying to figure out the song it was that i heard the other night and was like wow i love the ohhhhh (i remember) true love way hang on. she has something to say. i killed fred. i am resuscitating him. it's a complicated process, bare with me.
it's annoying cause on an IPOD (which i love and have, can't stop shouting that) IPOD I HAVE AN
yes when the time on an ipod counts down so you can't figure it out to tell someone but it's when and also that reminds me it's drums it don't make sense you need crazy people. concentrate this bit just before 2:50 it ends the song perfectly on an optimistic high note full of clarity and strength and it shows how much nathan's drumming really means something more than just beats cause it's more alive than that and it shows in this song cause it's used to empathise that path. i don't think pocket drummers do that. it's OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW it's not underestimated as simply performing a purpose. they love their fucking fine lines between what should and what shouldn't be. figure it out yrself my head hurts. i'm going to lie down.

btw since i've killed this thread already with my shit i thought i might as well add that in no way have they even come close to what they're capable of. how they play and what it's not just a suggestion of how they play it's like i don't know, quite like they ain't quite matched what they're capable of with what they can gather together. they'll get there i ain't got no doubt. it just struck me how sort of out of whack that is. they need to keep doing it till they reach it. they're all about sex so yeah, stop fooling with the foreplay. hahahahaaaa yo vengo
and because i'm drunk and tired i thought i'd add - he ain't 'just' a drummer. there's no full stop. like i dunno if it's cause i just get beats more than guitars or vocals but it opens the door to the rest of what's going on in there. is that a drummers job? perhaps somewhat. but it opens the door lets you in, you see what's going on with the rest and then you come back to the door and see how it's like pans labyrinth or something. shut up!
does anybody else get the little chop sticks, he seems quite fond of playing? the chi chi chi chi chi chiii black thumbnail - btw if no one stops me i might as well turn into some bloody preacher woman in grand central station standing on a box rambling about the genius of nathan followills drumming. seems like no one wants to stop me so you gonna throw me coins? i just whacked my ankle, that hurt. this is an essay.
chi chi chi chi chi chi chi chi chi chi chi chi chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
what do you think the best drumming track on botty is? happy alone you ain't got the slang but you got the face to play the role
that's what this place used to be like, if anyone is interested basically me rambling like a twat ALOT and everyone else being normal. it was cute and everyone was invited and it was all one big fucking party cause we had something fucking amazing on our hands and everyone knew it but no one knew all at the same time. and everyone just wanted to be there when it kicked off and began to make some footprints in the fresh tarmac cause they weren't going too far but every step they took, drew them closer to what we hear now. it was really special. i don't feel like i can ramble these days, either because i'll be shot down or just that it will be looked over. but whatever if they're the same band i remember i can always ramble about the music and how much it all means to me. i'm not talking facts, just feelings all trapped in the kansas hurricane.

Wonderful drummer. All amazingly talented but man... McFearless big Nathan based favourite. And more recently Sex on Fire - from 2:50 - 2:56 is so anticipatory then rocking, as i've said before on here, makes me feel all unnecessary. I love too how he's always so cool about it - except on So Long when he goes all Animal from the muppets at the end. Someone on youtube commented on the 'On Call' video that he was 'all business like and shit' or words to that effect, thought that was funny.
I agree with mrsnfollowill that he doesn't get as much love as the others too.
He just rocks.

I use his style in "My Party" for a bunch of songs. I also love the drumming for Sex on Fire. Very complicated and still very tight. Plus he is always super relaxed when playing witch is a feat.
