Just the way Leb sings "frontier". I die. And the way his voice falters juuuust a little bit and goes high on "into the clear". I die again. How can this band be so good for me if I die this much? You just made me want to listen to it, and I am right now. And I'm not even at the chorus and I'm dead. I love them

Of late I love nothing more than the haunting synth at the beginning of On Call. That makes me shiver EVERY time I listen to it - without fail.

The keyboardby bit during the last bit of fans. Its what they have right before the song when they do it live It really gives the last bit of the song that extra something.

Towards the end of McFearless (the "and I'll stand byyyy" bits), because everyone is playing these amazing parts which are all so complicated! Its like they're all showing off and trying to be better than one another, but the result is something very united. And also the very last yell of Charmer, he sounds a millisecond behind time and its not a high-pitched noise. It almost sounds like a dying/strangled croak, but it humanises the song. Like "yea, we're not perfect, and even when we aren't we are still fucking awesome". <--That's what Charmer says to me

The way he sings "shoe" (in The Bucket)...almost like shoo, with a lisp. There are others, which I cant think of now, but he has a way of pronouncing words with a "u" sound in a funny way.

The bass in Charmer, that split second pause Jared does around 1:45. I don't think he does that any other time in the song and I always listen for it. Also the quick slide thing he does. I dunno if that makes sense to you guys, but yeah

The way Caleb pronounces 'Fucked up' as 'Focked Op' in Wicker Chair. Thats what it sounds like to me anyways

The whistling in 'Knocked Up' gets me all the time. I always wait for that part so I can whistle it too.

I love the way Caleb uses his southern drawl and stretches out the word 'stranded' at the beginning of 'Closer'.

My headphones have broken on one side, so I can only hear in the left ear. Its very interesting! Seriously, if you have a mp3 player that splits the sound up, listen to My Party with only one ear in, listening to Caleb's guitar. What he plays is a completely different rhythm to what you hear alltogether, its very bizzare and cool.
I'd also like to state my appreciation for: the echoes in Trunk, the drums at the start of Razz, the descending scale in the middle of Spiral Staircase, and the way caleb sings "roam" in Manhattan. Just to cover all bases...

I do that sometimes too!! Just listen with one head phone... particularly if I'm talking to someone and not really interested in what they are saying... you do hear some VERY different things... On Call is a good one to listen to...
