i think i heard of them from my sister when she went and saw them in like 2003? idk one of their earlier years! and then i went and saw them june13 2007 and october 4 2007 again :] the first time was in colombus and the second time was in detroit. i came back the second time with bruised ribs since i was first row center and OF COURSE people jump and dance and i was pushed over the bar severallll times, but it was all worth it. both mind blowing expiriences, both i wouldnt trade for anything. they sound so great live, and are DAMN good looking :] i wish i coulda met them :/ but it was still amazing to get to see them live and there, and be first row both times! haha i love caleb's expressions and his litttle "dances" he does to some songs, or like the way he poses at certain parts. and i love the facial expressions jared makes while playing i met some sweet ass people at both concert, i mean, whats better then meeting someone and ALREADY knowing they love your fav. band too ? hahaha, but FREAL. KOL is the fucking shit. they are beyond grand. I was at the Detroit show too and I was front row but on the right where Jared was. The crowd was so crazy but it was still a great gig Where you outside waiting before the show? did you see that really drunk girl that had to leave because she was too intoxicated. I was so mad they made her leave, so what half the people in there were going to be drunk anyways

Pretty boring- saw the video for Four Kicks. Loved the video and the song and was intrigued by their hair! Been a huge fan ever since i listened to the second album properly and then bought the first one and so on!

I remember seeing the video for Red Morning Light on holiday in Scotland. I also remember not liking the vocal. Weird, seeing as now that's possilbly why I like them so much.
After that I saw the Wasted Time video, and a few weeks after that I was at the Big Day Out and they were playing, so I thought I'd check the out. And from that moment on I was hooked. They blew me away.
After that I bought YAYM and haven't looked back.
I've since seen them only once more. Nearly 2 years ago at another BDO. However I'm seeing them on their own for the first time (first time they've toured NZ) in January!!

I fell in love when they had their song in the VW jetta commercial. I was like, "What is that? It sounds so much fun!" And songs for commercials are so hard to look up but I kept searching until I found out it was KOL. I was like, "Well, I've searched so damn hard I might as well become a super fan." So I did.
The first time I saw them though was this year at Bonnaroo. That was my first time seeing them. Which sucked b/c my ex-friend whom I introduced to saw them before I did. She got free tickets and didn't even ask if I wanted to go. She's an annoying hipster who doesn't own a single album and burned Aha Shake from me, and she got to see them before me! Oh well, I'm a real fan in my heart and that's all that matters.
But that's not why we're friends anymore but it's something I can add to the list of things she sucks for.

I was first introduced to them when Aha had just came out. My older brother left the CD in my car on accident, i remember just putting it in to check it out and immediately fell in love with milk. I couldn't stop listening after that. First time i saw them live was this summer in Cincinnati. Awesome Time!!! Caught a pick from Matthew that night, and met the Features. I went straight home after the show and bought tickets to see them like the next month in Columbus. Another great night... I caught a pick from Caleb!! I couldn't believe i had two picks in two shows. Again i went home and bought tickets, this time to see them in Nashville. Sadly no picks from nashville, but a great time, and saw the hometown heroes.

I got sent The Bucket over msn by a mate years ago. And, i'm ashamed to admit, i hated it. Then i heard more and they were more and more awesome. I got tickets to see them at Brighton about 3 years ago and it was the most memorable night of my life!! The Features were support and i still have my signed album from them.

Summer 2005, I'm 13 and have managed to wangle a spare ticket to Reading Festival off a friend who was going. Given that Reading was my first gig (plunged in right at the deep end!), I decided to educate myself about as many bands as possible on the bill. I saw KOL were there, nicked the CDs off another friend and listened to them over and over until I began to not mind Caleb's voice!

well firstly i liked their songs and had no idea who they were (this was the bucket and for kicks which i affectionately called the cock-fight song before i knew anything...lol) anyways, the local indie station was at my school in columbus, oh and they were giving away prizes for winning this game, corn-hole. so as we are picking out our prizes there were cds and concert tix...well my friend says hey, kings of leon tickets ( but she could only take one...so lame.) and i'm like, who? and she tells me the wrong song!! she told me it was true love is blind or whatever its called by louis xiv...so i said ew, i don't wanna go to that! and we put them down...we threw away FREE kol tickets!!! and took a cd instead. can you believe it?? i've been kicking myself!! thankfully i got to see them in columbus at the newport in 2007.

i'm pretty sure i'm the newbiest of all newbs on this board... My first KOL experience was actually at their headline concert at the Warfield in San Francisco on Sept '07 with my older sister. Honestly, i didn't go to the concert to see them but went to see BRMC who were special guests (I absolutely love them). I had never heard of KOL before this concert but it was love at first strum. Charmer was their opening song and I instantly felt something akin to an explosion in my body as you can imagine . Although I did think that their looks somehow didn't really relate to their sound. My sis (who had known about them previously) said they didn't use to look clean cut and then when i looked them up on the internet, I saw what she meant. But that's alright...they still rocked the building. Anyways I had a really great spot on the floor, front and center, and almost at the barrier except there was one girl in front of me. The venue is one of my favorites cos it's not incredibly big and it's intimate so you really get to connect with the band. The crowd was great and the guys seemed to be having fun on stage. Oh...and I also loved Caleb's little dances and his and Jared's pouts So yes now I can't stop raving about them and have been converted into the religion that is KOL

Wow, I feel sooo pathetic cos you guys are all KOL veterans. I discovered (and subsequently became obsessed with) the Kings when a few months ago I saw 'Charmer' on MTV2. I just sat there, jaw on the floor, eyes bulging. I was in rock LOVE! I remember thinking Caleb looked freaking insane, but strangely sexy at the same time. And from then on I've been listening nonstop, and I'm buying all the albums as soon as I get some moolah! But don't judge me, y'all, I may be a newbie but my love is strong!

Hahaha oh geeze, halfway through the show when the crowd was crazy, i was leaning up against the railing and then i lifted BOTH my feet and wasn't even standing on my own feet. It was craaaaazy. I got Caleb's guitar pick when he threw it once and there were alot of crowdsurfers, alot of them went over me so i just grabbed them haha but i feel bad for the people that got kicked on the head by them :/

my cousin made me listen to them, 'red morning light' was on some game he played. either fifa or some car game. and he was like "listen to this band, the song keeps playing on the game and it's so good!" so we listened and i was like "yeah this is fucking awesome" it was a long, long time ago.
