Wow, just got back from Austin, TX late last night. Anyway, I saw the show, decent...I felt calebs voice and lead guitar were getting drowned out in the first few songs. I was really surprised how good on call was in concert. I went to the after party at Beauty Bar, but I was so drunk I cannot really remember. I probably said some relly dumb shit to them if I even got to talk with them.

getting into the after party isn't so hard. just ask around...if you don't look like some fug ass ho then someone will mostly likely tell you. i've been to a few, i've mingled with the boys. they aren't so intimidating...they are actually pretty chill.
just be normal and don't scream like a fucking teen queen at a backstreet boys concert.

I agree wholeheartedly with ro and skatf. But I would probably be defending them like everyone else if I hadn't seen Caleb's pure rudeness for myself. Noone wants to admit that they're fav band is full of assholes (not really, just mostly Caleb). It's not about blindly defending them, and I didn't mean to say that you shouldn't give your opinions, I never said that, but who the fuck are we to be such judges? Who are we to punish someone? We aren't saints man, that's all I'm sayin', and at least I and some other folks here too am aware that 'leb sometimes is a bit weird but some other times he's a wonferful human being, so why take it to the darker side?

they are probably 5'10" - 6' tall, but as far as knowing and getting in an after party, just like hoodratz said ask around. Actually ask around all the people that were at the front of the concert (where you should be anyway, lol) they usually know the scoop. BTW, MoonageDaydream, I love Bowie and that is one of my favorite songs. love the line "squawkin like a big monkey bird"

Well I definitely wasn't making a sweeping generalisation about his character - how can I say when I don't even know him? I was just saying that on this occasion he was not being "weird". Weird I can understand - I'd even like weird!! I think that swearing at a fan is just plain rude.

I wasn't talkin' about that last time, I do was generilizing on his moods though. Sorry but I thought you were actually sayin' he is an asshole, "Noone wants to admit that they're fav band is full of assholes (not really, just mostly Caleb)" , I might have misjudged you, but that's what I read. And yes, Caleb is quite rude sometimes, so are some fans.

And yes of course, I don't doubt for a minute that some of the fans are a nightmare - but I still think that's part of the job and all that. We all have elements of our jobs that we don't like (mostly other people hahaha).

it well pisses me off when people in bands are rude. its like we're the people who buy your records with our hard earned cash, we buy tickets to your shows and merchandise which allows them to tour and make more records which they "love" and "live for". so the least they can do is pose for some pictures or say hi!! When you buy a record or tickets to their shows or merchandise, that's what you're buying: tickets, a record, merchandise. You are not buying their respect. The transaction includes exchanging money for goods and/or services. You're not guaranteed a photo with the band. I hear people say this all the time, and it's not a very good excuse. If you say to them, HEY I've spent $600 on you guys, well... you already got what you paid for. You didn't spend $600 on meeting them and getting a discussion. You bought records and merchandise—period. Just to add my penny's worth - I know it may sound harsh but I do think they have an obligation to at least be polite to people. I've seen other people in their position having to deal with the biggest arseholes and pushy, hysterical people and deal with it with patience and grace. And I was knocked-out impressed. And that is absolutely 100% impossible to do all the time. lol but saying hello instead of fuck isnt like an amazing task but yea i get where everyones coming from but its just my opinion that they should be polite. every other person would get sacked if they told a customer at work to fuck off, i know they're not normal people with normal jobs but i think it should still apply to them x But Caleb didn't tell the gentleman in question to "fuck off." In fact, the gentleman in question is less irritated than a lot of the people in this thread. From what I understood when I read his post, he asked Caleb for a photo, Caleb swore to himself, begrudgingly posed for the photo (which he didn't have to do!,) and then left. He didn't get in this guy's face and shout "FUCK!" to him. It sounds like he said "fuck" out of exasperation. Has no one here heaved out an expletive when at work? (Well... unless you're a minister or something... lol) I agree wholeheartedly with ro and skatf. But I would probably be defending them like everyone else if I hadn't seen Caleb's pure rudeness for myself. Noone wants to admit that they're fav band is full of assholes (not really, just mostly Caleb). popsie, I thought you were feeling better. Apparently you're still mad. I'm defending Caleb here. I think he had a bad day. I don't think he did anything really terrible to this guy. He definitely wasn't pleasant, but I think it's getting blown outta proportion. Annnnnnd... I hate to bring this up, but I've seen a whole lotta rudeness from this band. From Jared in particular. I got it documented. (But I'm never ever gonna post it.) And it was personal. And it was 1000 times meaner than what Caleb did. And y'know what? In the end, I found that Jared was having a really bad day. The guy lost his cool, but he's got a really good heart. They're good people who get pushed to the edge and say things they don't mean. I seen the ugly side of it, and I forgave 'em. It's ri-fuckin'-diculous to expect them to sign everything and stop for every picture. Give them a break! (Nothing personal to anyone I quoted! I don't hate anybody here. I'm just trying to make a point.)

Well Buck, I think you're probably just a lot more forgiving than me. Sure, it's not a huge deal in the scheme of things but if I ever asked him for a photo (I wouldn't) and he said "fuck" to himself I'd probably then just say "never mind"......... and be disappointed. And if Jared was really that rude to you then I commend you for still being a fan.
Incidentally I have had my photo taken with some of my favourites and they were absolute darlings and could not have been nicer. I didn't accost them outside a tourbus though so the circumstances were different.

I know it may seem like Caleb is being rude, I just think the poor guy gets really tired and/or drained from always being on the go. Which sometimes leads to having a bad day (which I know doesn't make snapping at people right). I've personally never had any of them be rude to me. Nor have I seen them being rude to other people at the shows I've been too. The Kings have good hearts and I know they wouldn't be rude to anybody on purpose. I mean, we all lose our cool sometimes and with them being famous I'm sure they have more pressure on them and aren't always able to bite their tongue from saying things, like we might be able too.
I hope that made sense. haha. If not, then nevermind.

Michelle doll, it did make sense and they're not putting a gun on our heads to buy their records, we choose to, guys this is like, stupid, 'cause honestly we've had this conversation so many times and I'm sure we will, but it gets me tired. Group Hug? I'm gonna even let you grab my ass, which I don't do with everyone, so feel lucky.
