The kings arent that big in Northern Ireland but ive convinced alot of mates into likeing them. I just maybe aint met any die hard fans (except for my brother) that appreciate the music! SOOOO much better than bands like Franz Ferdinand but yet Franz Ferdinand get much more publicity!!!!! people must have a bad taste in music or somethin!!!

It's kinda sad that KOL and similar bands aren't more popular, I just saw a commercial for the Grammy's and all the bands are like Fergie and Justin Timberlake, God help us all!!

I wish it was like that here. If you want to get a ticket to a decent gig or festival, you need to try & get tickets the SECOND they go on sale.
And soon, you're new favourite secret band is everyone else's pigging favourite band. Bands get big so quickly that it kinda takes the excitement away a tiny bit.

I'm Canadian and theres probably like 3 of us that like KOL here including me.
Pretty much nobody knows who they are here.
Canada and the U.S are very media absorbed. Alot of the music here is shit music done by people with no talent what-so-ever and it gets shit loads of airplay. Eamples are: Hilary Duff and all rap music known to man, Paris Hilton, Lohan etc. 'Cause lets face it Paris Hilton, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan etc cannot sing. Good music here barely gets any attention.
In North America music wise, sex sells.

well the fact that the uk tour sold out so fast proves how popular they are over here. but i cant beleive how many acts are selling out these days, you cant just turn up to a gig these days. even really small bands seem to sell out in birmingham. its obsurd

It is very difficult getting tickets, you really have to be alert and know what bands are playing, where and when, tickets are a nightmare to buy especially for a London gig

As it might have been said already, they are really popular in Britain. One downside though - when I went to see them, the vast majority of the crowd comprised young-to-mid-teen "emo" looking kids that looked like they're there just to jump on the bandwagon. But hopefully they appeal to a much wider audience
