Ew, Eddie Vedder... Yuck! But the rest is nice to read! The Berlin Gig was the only KOL show I've been to so far. But if they don't tour over here, what should I do?! *lol* What do ya mean yuck!? Eddie Vedder is like a fuckin genius in rock music, I mean if ya dont like Pearl Jam there has got to be something wrong!! I grew up listening to Pearl Jam there totally awsome, in fact I am going to see them at there only US show in September, there like the Beatles of the 90's!!! I've seen them at least 19 times, this September it will be the BIG 20! woah I'm so jealous.. I've been a big PJ fan for almost three years now, but unfortunately I haven't seen them live cause their last gig in Switzerland was back in 2000. hope they'll come to Europe next year. *sighs* yeah sappy, don't you like vedder? I mean he's a fuckin genius and imo there's no reason to don't like this guy. EDIT: ah okay...your a Nirvana freak, so I guess I know why you don't like vedder.

Wow, you guys are lucky to have met them! (read as: I am very jealous of you all) If I were to get a chance to meet them, I'd love to get a picture with them! Or even just to complement them or something. I'm lame.

I also saw them for the first time with the strokes (november 2003). I'd never heard of them, and it was actually really funny... cause my friends and I went up to the merchandise booth before the show and I saw the shirts (with the cherries) and was thinking "hmm... I wonder who these guys are..." but I had this really strange feeling, butterflies and everything... like I was really going to be blown away. partly because I'd seen the strokes the year before and that's when I first saw ben kweller, so I had a really good impression of the strokes as far as choosing opening acts. anyway, obviously I've been hooked since then! the only thing I can remember from the performance is molly's chamber, some drunk girls dancing, and caleb's scarf.

I saw them three nights in a row in May 2005 opening for U2. I had never even heard of them. The first night I saw them I was really impressed with the drums, both my friend and I figured he earned his keep. The second night I really focused on Caleb, found his singing style to be rather interesting. By the third night I realized Rock n Roll wasn't dead afterall! I went and bought both CDs few days later. It was amazing how many of the songs I recalled from the shows, ones like Spiral Staircase, Trani, California Waiting, Bucket, Milk, Rodeo....the list goes on. I am hoping to see them again as they tour the states, they are coming to the midwest soon. I am hopeful they get more attention here in the states because I am sure that is the goal when you are in a band but at the same time, I watched my other favorite band get biggest in the world. Their website overwhelms me!
So glad they opened for U2, definately made a fan out of me!

I had never even heard of KOL until I got my tickets for the U2 concert. I heard they were opening and all my friends were mad that we got a no name band and the U2's Europe stops got "better" bands. Anyway, we got to the U2 concert early and jsut started talking about what we thought the kings were going to be like. And my friend (who doesn't even like U2) was like I bet they're old. Haha.
They opened with Molly's Chambers, and when it was finished, me and my friend were believers. We stood up and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, while everyone around us sat down and paid not the slightest bit of attention to them. One of the drunk guys in front of us yelled to them to get off the stage, and in turn Caleb thanked the audience of being so kind and respectful. Haha
I can't really remember much more from their set. But I distinctly remember them singing Pisol of Fire, and the part where Caleb sings Aiyah, we totally freaked out and were like what the heck was that. Haha. I enjoyed them so much I went out and bought both their albums like right away

in thin air......... have ya ever seen the kings? nawwh...they haven't been to switzerland yet and I don't have the money to see them in UK aw, one of my closest friends is from Switzerland. I actually took her and our other close friend to a Kings of Leon concert last March at the Roxy in Atlanta for their 16th birthdays. We left later than I wanted to b/c she had lacrosse practice that day, but we ended up being four rows back from the stage in between Matt and Caleb. I had barely heard of them before but my friends really wanted to see them. I was SO impressed, they were beyond awesome. I wanted to buy their cds right away but it took me like a month to find their cds. We left early b/c my sister was getting tired (i payed for her to come and so she drove us) so i missed the end. We plan on seeing them again in like 3 weeks and we're going to stay after to try to meet them. That would be wonderful. Oh and random extra, Roger Federer, the guy who won Wimbledon is from Switzerland. So all I have to say is Swiss are real cool people in my book.
