anyhoo, now i want to move onto my point.
first of all, just because you dislike a band or in your case you just appear quite indifferent to them doesn't mean you should go round slagging them off to their fans. that's just insulting.
seriously, i'm indifferent to many bands. too many to mention. i'm not keen on arctic monkeys, good shoes or hot chip, but i still like a couple of their songs. however, i'm not going to go on their forums telling people "THIS BAND SUCKS BECAUSE THEY HAVEN'T WRITTEN A SONG THAT I'M GOING TO BE HUMMING TO MYSELF WHILE MAKING BEANS ON TOAST IN 5 YEARS TIME!!!"
i think you're also resentful of the fact that they are good looking. why can't they make the best of what they've got. i'm certainly not complaining. if it's ok to tart other people up in order to sell more albums then why can't KOL do it? i've been a fan since the hairy days so i personally don't give a shizzle what they wear, but i think if it's ok for me to dress up in order to look nice for other people, then it's ok for the boys to do the same. fucking hell, do people slag off every man who makes an effort nowadays? i think it's pretty cool when men take pride in their appearance.
anyway my basic point is that many bands are bland and boring and pointless to many people, but those same bands make other people happy. seriously, if we all had the same taste then the world would be fucking boring. so what if you like radiohead. personally i think thom yorke should fuck off and stop releasing his self indulgent drivel but i'm not going to swan over to a radiohead forum and tell everyone that i find their favourite band fucking annoying!!! do you see my point?

15 songs that are decent. nothing i'll ever care to listen to 5 years from now. they don't have a single song that blows you away If, in 5 years time you won't care about the Kings then why are you still hangin around here? Obviously, this being a Kings of Leon fan forum we're all gonna like the band and this thread is just gonna cause a shit load of reaction (maybe thats what you wanted) But seriously if you think 'kings of leon kind of sucks' and 'don't deserve a whole lot of respect' why don't you just accept that your opinion of them has changed and move onto another band? Also regarding the whole image before music issue...Yes, the Kings do present themselves well, but I highly doubt what pair of skinny jeans they are going to wear next prioritises over their music and in my opinion you just need to listen to any of the 3 records to realise that it doesn’t matter what the beJesus they wear, they’re still gonna make smashin tunes and have loads of fans (that love them because of their music) hmpf, I've had a real shit day and this has just pissed me off dude! |

i got on one of those kicks and thought these guys were hot shit so i joined up here. after about 2 weeks of listening to everything over and over i realize they kind of suck. they have roughly 15 decent songs. the rest is pretty shitty. Me, I jumped on this forum for the first time in a while and after about 2 minutes of checking through the threads i realized this kjam kinda sucks. he has roughly one controversial thread title and the rest is pretty shitty. oh and one other thing. the KINGS OF LEON FANS FORUM probably isn't the best place to convince people that the KINGS OF LEON aren't really that good, maybe? |
