wrong. i think they could be really good. obviously pretty talented. they just dont do anything with it.
i am most let down by the live shows. very tight musicianship and everything but its like im listening to the studio cuts all over again. change it up a bit

another thing that makes me worry. the talk of the next album full of songs like black thumbnail and mcfearless? Those two songs are the worst songs they have written. they scream PUT ME ON THE RADIO. You scream "keep me at the top of the most viewed threads!!!" Sorry, I couldn't resist, forgive me kjam!! I'm not the biggest fan of black thumbnail myself. i am pretty awesome at making threads arent i

Haha, good point kulbert. I really don't think any of there songs scream put me on the radio. And even if Black Thumbnail or McFearless did I wouldn't be complaining. I never hear stuff like that on the radio. It's all the bloody Plain White T's, Razorlight and all that kinda same old...
[edit] Oh, and I gotta say it, I think BTN is one of there best live songs, it's so good to go crazy to!

ok maybe their aren't radio songs. but they suck and sound the same as just about everything else out there. i think im more disappointed by how they are evolving from a real individual band with individual sound to just another rock band

Oh good. I'm so glad you're not a douche bag, was worried there for a minute! Phew!
I just heard Tom Petty on the radio. That man is awesome and his songs have been on the radio for years. Does that mean he is 'just doing the same shit?'

Oh so you're that type of guy. 'Im soooo not mainstream. I'm cool for not being 'cool' like the rest.'
But hey, it's your opinion. I respect that. But please, could you respect our choice for loving the Kings' music as well, and not diss them/us the way you are now? Thank you.
Shame I can't stay longer for this discussion. Early day tomorrow for my school trip.

I really think that KOL are pretty damn individual, including those two songs. I know it's just your opinion, but please name me a song that sounds like one of them?

Oh no, I wanted to say one more thing (sorry ). The Kings' music never gets played over here on the radio. And I only saw them twice on TV. What does that mean, then? Mainstream/radio friendly or not?

they are very mainstream. there is such thing as really good mainstream bands. in fact, most indie bands that are "soooo good" actually suck dick. mainstream is the way to go.
thats beside the point. i'm not forming my opinion based on the culture surrounding them. j

I know what you mean sovvie. Considering they are supposed to be getting more mainstream over here, I never hear them on the radio.

Okay, whatever. Different opinions. I'll be spending the next three days of my life in a convent with my class anyway. I'll have plenty of time to think about your arguments when I'm there.
