I think McFearless deserves a live video .. the only way to express the genius of it without distractions..  Can't think of another kind of video that would suit it. i think i agree! it's an awesome live track! i like the idea of True Love Way as a single - i thinkit would bring in some new fans maybes? I think that'd be a great idea possibly for the third single because it goes in a kind of different direction to On Call and McFearless.. BTW izzy is that Carl Barat in your avatar? .. *squints* .. he's lovely  |

I, for one, am really excited that McFearless is the new single, it's my second favorite song on the new album, behind True Love Way. I love the opening bassline to McFearless and Caleb's vocals in True Love are just amazing. It would be a schweet third single.

Yay...Excellent choice, FANS will go down really well in the UK, alot of radio stations will play it, more so than 'On Call'

I just heard that Jo Whiley thing as I was reading this thread (I'm in America, so my BBC is way behind)...yeah, I'm excited to finally hear Fans on the radio!!!!!! It's probably my favorite track on the album, so I'm happy.

They're playing it on Sirius radio now (granted it's BBC1 on Sirius, so not true American radio)...they ackwardly bleep out the "asshole" though, it kind of ruins the flow of the song, they could have done a better job with the radio edit.

The best songs on the album are Arizona, True Love Way, Ragoo, Fans, The Runner and On Call. IMO, the reason On call made a good first single is because of the intro, I feel like other bands (the killers) would make an interlude out of something cool like that but KOL put it in a song, thats what makes it work for me. The rest of the song is good dont get me wrong, but after the baseline I am less excited, not because it's slower because it obviously picks up, but. OK, my choice for a 'summer' single is definitely 'True Love Way'. Its very fun, and more on the contemporary side, which isnt a bad thing at all, its a matter of taste. They would probably release a 3rd single around oct/nov. Which I think should be Arizona, its so big sounding, and I think it would be a great winter single. It sounds wintery, and is very reflective. I think releasing those songs as singles would tremendously help them as far as fan recruitment, especially in America, the UK is already on board big time. Releasing a single like McFearless or the Charmer doesnt work in a broad perspective, I think it only secludes them from big time radio success. It puts them in an hard/alt rock category as opposed to puting them in their own category as just a good band. They could be on every radio station, and play arenas in the US if they just make the right single decisions. They're probably going to be the biggest band in the world someday anyway. The difference between them and say a band like nickelback, is KOL is actually good, even if they had the pop success that a band like nickelback has, no one would stop listening, because the product is amazing. Its basic sales technique I guess. I say if all else fails, they release fans as a live single/video.

"ahem"! i believe i was the first one to say it was going to be fans... damn im awesome. and very happy, because fans kicks ay-oss!!(ay-oss is like saying ass, but way cooler)
i hope the video is better than on call. on calls' video was kinda drab and boring.
