I saw them at Austin City Limits and then in Houston that following Tuesday. They played five new tracks. On Call, Fans, Arizona, My Party, and Charmer. All of which are good. I think they have come into their own on this new album. The first one was a tip of the hat to the music they listened to while traveling with their father. This is their sound, they have finally found their place, and I like it. I would not want them to turn out albums that all sound the same. Look at Beck, every album is different, that is what makes his music refreshing. Its not the same old song and dance. I like what the Kings of Leon have done.

here here ..im liking the songs ive heard so far ..but it is right to say dont judge from a few songs youve heard id gve it a chance ,,because to be honest i judged ASH when they released the bucket i thought it sounded to pop but i bought the album anyways and it kicked ass as everyone knows ...ahem anyways moving swiftly on ...im really digging im on call ...cant wait till because of the times..its gona rock

Holy fucking shit.
These songs are incredible. Its just on an entirely new level.
They all sound fantastic, but Arizona is beautiful. I can tell the content in the lyrics have expanded, which is just what I wanted. Theres alot of folk country influence in the melodies, which I also love. Very 80's underground influence sounding.
Fucking Brilliant. This album is going to be one long orgasm.

And I love the distortion they are using on the guitars.
With the amount of talent and growth they are displaying on their third album and the true to spirit attitude the music is retaining, they are going to be huge, fucking huge.

The songs are kinda bass heavy live, rythm section heavy, eally, and they are amazing. Like someone else stated before, they are showcasing how they have grown. I have heard these songs live a couple of times, and these recordings don't do justice to how ridiculously good they really are. I like that most who post here respect, appreciate, and love KOL because they refuse to make the same record over and over. Hearing these recordings has made me more stoked than I was last month when I saw them. This new record is going to be incredible...

Actually first song isn't Charmer, I think it's Fans... but the other two songs are about right. |
