The bass on charmer sounds like juicebox. Its called the note of "e", it occurs in quite a lot of songs. The bass sound is close to it though, I know what you mean. On Call sounds fantastic.

for me it's sound so bad. it's shit, guys, how can you compare that with youth and young manhood ? where is the dirty rock'n'roll here ? if you want that music, go on a darkness website, but, open your mind, this is not a good stuff. can you really appreciate this as you appreciate YYM or Aha ?

we are having an open mind. you are putting them in this box of making yaym V2.0
i love that they make every record sound enormously different. a lot of bands stay in the same style that come their 3rd record it gets almost tiring to listen to.

It's called progress dude.. It's a good thing. If I want something like YAYM or A-Ha Shake, I'll listen to those records.. and I think you're prob jumping the gun a bit, judging a whole record on some minute long video's.. Have faith. It's gonna be awesome.

Don't be so negative ! and, you know, on recordings like that, it sounds more heavier than it is in real I think ! We can hear the bass more than the guitar parts and that's why it's sounds 'darker' or heavier... we should wait and listen to some demos (or really good live recordings) to say something about the new songs. we have to be patient... but, aha shake was different from yym so the new album will have his own 'personnality' too. I heard positive reaction about the new songs from people who went to the gigs recently, some guys who are real fans of the band (fans of the music of course), and I believe them ! The Kings Of Leon always made really good music... why would it change ?

The kings of leon have very, very good taste, more so than 75% of their contemporaries. Based on the melodies and rythms I heard on the very crappy, low quality, high bass recordings this album is going to have alot of pushing of the boundaries and alot of originality, so coming from the kings we can only assume its going to be awesome. Though I do think we will be seeing more bass out of this album, simply because they are all getting better and trying to reveal their developing talents, especially jareds.
The thing I love most about the kings, and whats actually quite brilliant is the transition of sound style from the first and to the second albums, which basically said you cant pin a definitive style on us, making room for tons and tons of creative works to come (including the new album). Any true fan sees this in them. Fuck YAYM anyways, ASH was so much better (yes YAYM was very good though).
We are whitnessing their evolution people, we are seeing what they are going to become. What they have shown us, if they stay together, is just the beginning.

I think Charmer sounds awesome. The other ones sounded alright, but the quality wasn't the best so it's kind of hard to tell how good they'll be. Now I'm ever more excited for the album, Charmer sounds so different, but in a good way definitely

"It's called progress dude". YYM is good, Aha is better and because of the times 'll be better i'm thinking =DD
