Hmm maybe a song by AC/DC... if you listen to Spiral Staircase.. tell me that doesnt sound like 'em! Well, the way his voice sounds, not so much the music itself...

Nothin' by Townes Van Zandt (reckon Caleb's heard of him? Hard to tell ). Robert Plant made a good fist of it, but I reckon they could make it better

Rake by Townes Van Zandt, just Caleb would be good I reckon
or anything by Hank Williams or Creedence Clearwater Revival
a Zeppelin tune would be nuts as well..

Like some people already said; crimson and clover. A little Joan Jett style maybe. It would be awesome to hear Caleb's interpretation

I dunno about covers but if I could sing half of the O Brother Where Art Thou? soundtrack with The Lebster I'd die the next day with the biggest freaken smile on my face that you've ever, EVER seen.
Just imagining Man of Constant Sorrow makes me go all wibbly at the knees.

Would love them to cover something by the Pixies - maybe Where is my mind? or U-mass. Or even Town Called Malice by The Jam - could be interesting!! So I started this thread nearly 5 years ago and when I heard they had covered The Pixies with Where is My Mind... I thought I would come back and have a look to see if anyone got it... Congratulations whoever you are. You win 4 internets.

"Over the Hills and Far Away" - Zeppelin "Gimme Shelter" - Rolling Stones Who would sing the female part of Gimme shelter ? If I remember well I once read Caleb said that they did a pretty neat version of Joy division's Ceremony, I think it was. I would love to hear that.

Ooh, Gimme Shelter is a good one, one of my favourite songs. I'm not sure about the female part but I could definitely dig that.

OK I potentially dreamed this, if so I apologise for my ridiculous imagination But am I right in thinking there's an interview where one of them mentions they played Eye of the Tiger, just for fun? (That is NOT a suggestion haha, this just reminded me...)

"Over the Hills and Far Away" - Zeppelin Anything by Johnny Cash. "Dancing Shoes" - Arctic Monkeys "Break On Through (To The Other Side)" - The Doors "Gimme Shelter" - Rolling Stones I agree about almost all of those! And I would add Whiskey in the Jar "Over the Hills and Far Away" - Zeppelin "Gimme Shelter" - Rolling Stones Who would sing the female part of Gimme shelter ? If I remember well I once read Caleb said that they did a pretty neat version of Joy division's Ceremony, I think it was. I would love to hear that. Paolo Nutini has covered Gimme Shelter and he sang everything himself. I think female part is not necessary I would love to hear them cover something from Joy Division. Maybe Atmosphere. But I can't really imagine that.

"Southside of Heaven" by Ryan Bingham, it would end up sounding like a Texas style version of Knocked Up.

"Cornerstone"-Arctic Monkeys YES. Caleb might have trouble singing that one but I've always saw a lot of similarities between early KOL and Arctic Monkeys.
