I only signed up for an account so I could make this suggestion. "Boom Boom" , The Animals version. It makes sense b/c one of their influences, The White Stripes, covered House of the Rising Sun. I think that it's not too early to cover anything, especially not an ancient American blues classic.

I'd love to hear them cover something completely unlike what they are used to, but something they'd be capable of producing.
I'd have to choose something like the end of "Slow Night, So Long."
Something Bossa Nova. They'd be completely innovative, of course, and take their liberties.
I'd have to challenge them by not allowing them to sing in English, then that would defeat the purpose and make it possibly sound like shit. Good shit. But, not the best shit possible.
I'd also like to hear The Stormy Monday Blues. Something I love singing myself. Good fun.

I love covers that are completely not suited for the band doing them that turn out to be fabulous...a la Arctic Monkeys covering Sugababes, or Razorlight covering Outkast.
So anything in that "random" vein would make me happy. Or maybe some Strokes, they have the same "choppy, bright" guitar to a point, and Julian's voice is very husky as well, so they could easily pull it off.

'Gloria - Van Morrison - I Think that would be amazing, when I first heard it, I instantly thought - Kings of Leon!
'Bad Moon Rising' by CCR. A great wee ditty that'd make a fun, easy cover.
Perhaps 'Fell in Love With a Girl' by the White Stripes might sound cool.

Got To Get You Into My Life - The BeatlesJust because I think 'Leb would be killer when the chorus comes. I can already picture his voice doing it in my head. Hey Joe - Jimi HendrixSimply because of the comparisons to Joe's head. Plus I think it would sound pretty damn amazing. Matt would do a killer solo too! Like A Rolling Stone - Bob DylanThey'd all sound pretty damn awesome on this one. The Seeker - The WhoFucking awesome song, everyone would definately rock out to it. Caleb's voice would sound fucking amazing especially at the part "I've been searching low and high". Because he can do some cool shit with his voice.

"Oh, Darling!" by the Beatles would totally make me shit my pants.. in the best way possible of course.
Mmm and because it's totally random: "I Touch Myself" by Blondie.
NINE LIVES by Aerosmith.
Yup. Lots of shitting indeed.

A lot of people have commented about it being a little premature in the KOL’s career to be covering others songs. Once there was a time in Country, Folk and Rockn’ Roll music where covering others songs was a common practice, and not just for established artists. In my opinion a lot of people think artists now-a-days need to prove them selves as writers befor covering others but I think covering songs (even current ones) should be done more often, especially by a band as good as Kings Of Leon! I would love to hear them cover -Johnny Cash’s version of Orange Blossom Special (originally written by Ervin Rouse and Chubby Wise) -Bob Dylan’s You’re No Good or -Neil Young’s Like A Hurricane

I would like him to cover an Eagles song, or myabe cover Crimson and Clover...and have Beth Hart sing with him. She can compete with his vocals. OMG yes!!! Caleb could totally do a kick ass version of Crimson and Clover!! I can't believe he hasn't yet since he loves that song so much!

haha, could you see them playing "immigrant song" Led Zepplin. the opening screams would most likely rule with caleb so i have just scoured the whole thread and HAVE to agree with this one... what a classic song by a classic band... the wha-haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa's would just be... GAH! indescribable!

"Touch Too Much" by AC/DC. Or "If You Want Blood". I just love hearing KoL go balls-to-the-wall rock. And that would do it for me.
