I'm in love with Day Old Blues. I was a bit disappointed they didn't perform it at any of the shows I went too.
I'm think that may be a good thing though, cause I'd probably cry if they sang it.

Yeah, Im in love with that song, especially live. Saw them do it live twice. Both just after the US release of ASH. Once in Nov. 04' and then in Feb. 05'. But, since then, especially on their most recent tour, they haven't touched it. I think its cuz Caleb's voice has been a little hoarse, and it takes a certain pitch that would stress his already overworked vocal chords. It sucks. That's prob my fav. song that they could ever perform live, aside from Trani, but they do that at every show, its their signature song (so to speak).

I adore that you can hear Jared singing on the track. It's nice to hear the other member's vocals. They sound so good together.
I guess they don't play it live often because it's a slower song and they usually want to play faster songs to keep the crowd rilled up and excited.
Or they could be playing only their most favorite/crowds favorite tunes. They might have gotten not as well of a reaction to Day Old Blues live as other songs (and they only have a handfull that they can perform) so they tend to play that one less. They don't play Velvet Snow live often either.

or maybe they don't play it live because it's about how they missed their mum so much and when they recorded it they were so emotional and may be scared to play it live incase they start crying during it
i don't explain things very well

Maybe they play it when their mom is at the show.

I thought it was only Nathan's voice on that track...nothing of Jared. Hmmm, Im pretty sure its Nathan chiming in for the lower bit harmony in "Day Ol'...Day Ol'...Day Ol' Blues"...hmmm, I'll have to turn it up real loud, darn hehehe, just to be sure.

i guess they work on crowd reactions , and what they're looking for in their performance .
day old blues would have to be a teensy venue , and right now they're doing big tours and festivals ..
i'm not really sure , to be honest . i'd love to hear it live , though .

They don't play Velvet Snow live often either. To the tell truth it's not a particularly strong song. And Day Old Blues is definitely a strange one, can't blame them for not putting it on many set lists. Killer track though in my opinion.
