I think the lyrics are just a description of being on tour, fairly descriptive. Like arguments (don't feel comfortable talking to you), looking after each other(I'll be the one to show you the way) and fame (everyone's gathered to idolise me).
all pretty obvious I know but that's as far as I get with it
Haven't got a fucking clue what swinging legs and kicking buckets is about

kicking buckets.. isn't that what you'd do in a tantrum? I'm just guessing - but gypo's explained it pretty well. It's basically about being on tour.. and caleb said he wrote it about his baldness (balding star) to highlight his faults.. erm.. gypo has explained most of it so there's not much point me writing haha what a loser.

I always presumed you kick the bucket and i'll swing my legs referred to him hanging, the sugestion of getting proper fucked up. I guess there would be plenty of people around them that could either help them lose the plot i.e kicking the bucket for them, or help them sort their heads out. i think the whole album is about them getting proper fucked up i'm sure i read something about the song, they said it was about touring and being on the road.

I always thought for someone to kick the bucket meant they had popped their clogs

Kick the bucket, doesn't that mean suicide? You kick the bucket beneath you when one hangs oneself. Would it mean suicide of the "real self" by the immense egotism that surrounded them during touring?
During their last tour, they became this "false self" that is perpetuated through the tiny box of fame that they were living in. The media was talking about them like they were gods, the girls were swarming them and wanting every piece of them just because they were "famous", and others in the industry were wanting to hang around them just becaue of their "fame". It is a vicious cycle that only ended when they went back home and all that "fame" wasn't waiting for them. During the tour, they never saw outside of this box of "fame" and into the real world, and that made them isolated from reality and they were becoming the very people that they hated; egotistical, and ungrateful, . They needed to "kick the bucket" beneath this "false self" to get back into reality and back to themselves.
"I don't feel comfortable talking to you" could me three things. (1) Not wanting to talk to the press/media, (2) Being pissed at each other and not wanting to talk to one another (Everyones emotions are fragile and they get into a lot of fights with one another, usually through liquor talk) or (3) Caleb talking about his alter ego Rooster and not wanting to talk to him because he is usually the shit disturber.
I'm reading way too much into this aren't I?

"kick the bucket" is an expression used generally to mean death. I don't think it specifically refers to suicide. (ex. the old man kicked the bucket).

I thought it was just about a priest, or some kind of religious figure, misusing his power and authority to get with women.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what it means. And it gets even cruder: "You'll be hearing me coming, but I can't come inside." I always assumed that meant, well, I'm sure I don't have to go into it.
