18BS-AKA the future mrs. followill18/19 yrs old is cool i just like mine a bit more creased LOL i didn't know u were coming back. i don't really bother with other bands boards. in fact i've never bothered with any bands anything until KOL. i can't stand the other bands. isn't that terrible. maybe i'm too critical. i just find them to be too fake. i can just about stand white stripes -just. but i find jack white annoying. ... and a bit fake....seems like he tries too hard, but i'm sure he's a nice chap. i can't stand ANY of the british bands. razorlight ugh! kaiser cheifs can fuck right off. i can tolerate franz ferdinand (cause they're amusing) who else... you name 'em i hate 'em  the KOL cd's were the first piece of music i'd bought in years. too much bullshit out there. does my head in

i hadn't bought a cd in years!
KOL was the first that i bought in a while and that is saying alot, since with a flick of a button i could have just downloaded and burned the entire album without even leaving my house!

Kings, obviously.
I have never gotten into Oasis mostly because they really came out before I was into music, I think I was 5 or something, I know that's a lame excuse and I listen to bands that were out in like the 70s and 80s but whatever. Everything they're released that I've heard hasn't interested me. I like certain songs but I definatly wouldn't say I was a fan.

I deffo prefer the kings! i saw them do the new single 'layla?' on jonathan ross last night. same ol' thing. lots of bluster topped up with that incessant whining vocal. there really is no point in asking this question, you may as well ask if rocks are better to sleep on then pillows...er....or something like that. has anyone seen juliette lewis and her band perform? it's kinda weird that she's a rock chic all of a sudden. oh well... to each his own... i guess. |

I'll go with the Kings on this one.
Oasis have been around longer and they are the one's credited for getting me into the whol Alternative, indie, rock and rool scene.
But Liam just seems like such a big butt he insulted Franz and loads of other great bands for freakin' sakes. What did Franz ever do to Oasis? Nothing!

I'll agree with hotlikearazor on this one...it's unfair to compare.
so, being totally unfair...
I'm gonna say that there's no question that KOL is better than Oasis. NO QUESTION. granted, I've never really fully listened to Oasis's stuff (I just now the big ones, like wonderwall and champagne supernova)...but Kings of Leon is definitely way more magical, exciting, (insert any positive adjective here).

also.. ahem. *clears throat* no offence liam but you don't need sunglasses INDOORS unless someone is wearing really really neon fluorescent clothes of some obscene kind and i sincerely doubt that on EVERY occasion where you perform.. people are.
Geez i really don't get it - it's not like he's got a load of wrinkles.. or does he? mystery remains unsolved untill he takes those glasses off!

Oasis is my favourit band. And they are biggest than KOL, definitely.
But I love the KOL. But now, they are getting too clean, too nice, with nice hair and fuckin fashion clothes, and I think it's not their style. KOL is fuckin Tennesse.
Oasis are fashion. Oasis are great. KOL it's just fuckin good nashville rock'n'roll.
The next Oasis record will be famous !
