u really dont get what u wrote? its allright, were not trying to make fun, its just funny what u wrote cause its sooo wrong! in this case the UK gets KOL first. ASH was realised in Europe like 3 1/2 months before America. All the singles have been relised in the UK already, they have KOFT already and were still at 4 kicks. theyre so much more famous in the UK so they get kol material first than Americans

I still hear "Molly's Chambers" on the radio more than "The Bucket" here in Boston. I have never even heard the other two singles on the radio.

I hear The Bucket sometimes on the radio.
I know that AHa Shake Heartbreak was released in the US in November because that's when I got it. I know it wasn't released in Europe until like January or February. They also always tour here first. There were probably pre-copies released in Eurpoe in November because America already got the album.
There is no reason why an AMerican band's album should be released in Any other country other than the US first.

you are completely wrong. the album was released in Britain in November, and got to Number 3 in the British album charts. they toured it here first, and we've had The Bucket, Four Kicks and King of The Rodeo released as singles. The reason their album was released here in England before America is because they have a bigger fanbase here. I cant speak for Europe, i dont know when it was released there. and it wasnt officially released in America until was it February? but lots of Americans had a copy of the album from November, cause they bought it from England and had it shipped over. im guessing thats how you got yours?

Most stores here in the US had copies of the album in November that had been imported. That's how I got mine.
Clair, I'm pretty sure you're right that it wasn't released here until February. They might have been touring some of the US before the album came out officially.
They couldn't have released the album here in November because they couldn't compete with larger bands in the fourth quarter of the year. In the UK, they are big enough to have a fourth quarter release date.

yeah it was released here in feb. "we can't compete with hillary duff." - jared yes it was released Feb 22nd in the US and they toured America w/ ASH material before it was realised in America, i dont know why but they did as far as the tours, that is one thing America and the UK get equally, they tour here then they tour the UK, or it might be the other way around but they tour both countries get KOL equally i think

yay!!! i love the excitement that builds up in me over a new album, even if it is 6+ months away. me too! i SO cannot wait ......... and as for the whole releasing milk as a single thing, i'm undecided while i really like the idea of them going against the record company and doing their own thing, i don't know about milk as a single but i would love to see a video for it, and i'm interested to hear what nme/xfm would make of it......how lauren laverne would introduce it, and what kinda review nme would give it. they slated kotr, but some of my friends who don't really like kol (hard to believe i know), really liked kotr, and even went out and bought it, so......?xx

eh.. I would think that ASH was released in the UK and the rest of Europe at the same time. at least I bought the album here in Norway, in november. and if we had it here, I would think that all of Europe got it then. and as far as I know we don't have a really big KOL fanbase here, at least they haven't been bothered touring here since 2003. but the album version I have is not the same as the UK version (I don't have "where nobody knows"), but it's not the same as the US version either (the C'word is written in the lyrics booklet, and it's the same pictures as in the UK vers. (but not the same cover)). so I'm thinking there's an European version for those who live outside the UK, that was released at the same time as in the UK... but then again this might be totally wrong.. hehe... anyway... I love Milk. it's a great song, and as long as it's KOL's work - the video will be great too. and as daisy wrote, I really like the idea of them going against the record company and doing their own thing!

and as daisy wrote, I really like the idea of them going against the record company and doing their own thing! ........btw, yep, there's a UK version, which has the same inside pictures as the European version, but a different cover, black with white flower. the European version has the same front cover as the US version, white with orange/red flower. but the UK one also has a bonus track which neither of the other two have, as for lyrics, i'm assuming the UK/EURO. ones are the same, but the US one?.....have i confused anyone else or just myself ::)xx
