theres a little snippet in this weeks NME, that has Jared quoted as saying the band want to release Milk as the next single, but the record company dont want them to, so they might do it on their own, and make their own video.
apparently Jared has been thinking of 'an alien, a sad alien' for the video.
well hopefully some random from the record company might pop on the board and see this, so i say LET THEM DO IT!!!

I might get lynched for saying this, but i really really really don't want them to release it. I truly feel that releasing something takes away it's delicious specialness. I think I hate singles and the single charts. I love that song too much... I think it would lose it's edge if it was playing everywhere. But if they want to release it as a band they should be allowed to. I don't have much faith in record companies at the best of times... It seems to me that their sole purpose is to make money and the band/fans/music are just tools for this. Which isn't ideal.

i'd like to see a video, they always have good videos. plus it would be nice to hear it on the radio i think, i like it when a song you love comes on the radio, it kind of catches you by surprise.

hehe yes, agreed, a video to it would be beautiful. i've always imagined what that song would look like... if you know what i mean.
my friend rang me when she was at some kol show that i wasn't at... it was during milk and i had it on my voicemail... it was the loveliest feeling when i realised what it was.

A Sad Alien? What an interesting concept! I really don't know weither I'd like it as the new single, It's one of my favourites. I'd really love to see a video for it, but I don't think I'd like the possibility of it being hugely successful, if you know what I mean...

I hope they do what they want though and don't let the record company stop them! Making their own video would be so cool.

if it is in this weeks nme..then i am rushing off to buy it i don't know if i want them to bring milk out though..cause the bucket and four kicks come on the music channels alot...and it has made me get tired of the songs, same with king of the rodeo
i dunno..i suppose a new video will keep them fresh..if you know what i mean.,.instead of overplaying their previous records

Kings of Leon to be joined by ET The Kings of Leon are set to gain a new extra-terrestrial friend for their next video. The band want to reease 'Milk' as their next single, but revealed that it's put them at odds with their label, so they may just put the song out themselves and make their own video. Bassist Jared Followill told NME: "We thought about releasing 'Milk' as a single, but no-one wants us to. So we're trying to think of a video concept. I kind of have a vision of, like, an alien leaving Earth, a really sad alien." Meanwhile, Followill revealed that the band have been writing new material for their third album. "We've written a shitload," he said. "We may go into the studio in November, but we're writing so much every day."

Why not release it can do no harm.I still love the bucket like its the first time I heard it same as the others. And KOTR sounds different on TV. As for a video if they stick to how they done the others.Have the band playing but have other things happening around them, it will be an amazing single. Still cant find it in NME

if they were to release it here it wouldn't be all over the radio and tv so I wouldn't mind. I really would like to see the video.

It would probably be the next single in the USA because The Bicket is the current single in the UK. And of course America would get the KOL single first as they always do. The UK won't get it for at least a few months.
