ok like in slow nights so long, whats it about, makes no sense, hes tlaking baout a 17 year old, then he talks about leading ladies and then he talks about how he hates her face but enjoys the company, i mean i love the song, i love all the songs but i dont understand the meanins of them, KOTR- "hes o the purity a shavin and a mourning" what the hell does that mean and what does it have to do w/ a trani, also " me and ure cold driving in the snow..." what does that have to do w/ a trani, see what i mean like they talk about one thing and then they go to another and its not really clear what the song is about, i mean at least not for me, and thats all their songs, the onl song that i have goten was RML and its cause its abvious, but the other ones are not, i think, but i still love them cause they have beautiful lyrics even if i cant understand the whole song

Starting with slow night so long. Sec. 1: Slow night so long, she's frenching out the flavour she's 17 but i done went and plum forgot it Sec . 2: No tears are gone they're pooling on the table no tears are gone they're leaving their mark behind Sec 3: So far so good she's absolutely wasted she's handing up and changing her story around Sec 4: I just don't know where leading ladies come from I just don't know where that can be found Sec 5: She's opened up just like she really knows me I hate her face, but enjoy the company Sec 6 I'll take you home, or back to Oklahoma You're not so nice, but the sex sells so cheap Sec 7 rise and shine all you gold-diggin' mothers are you too good to tango with the poor, poor boys ------ 1- He's making out with this underaged girl 2-Its a one night fling, nothing to cry over when shes gone 3-Theyre getting really drunk 4- Where can i find more girls like this 5- Theyre starting to talk, shes not too pretty now 6- He returns the affection and invites her to Oklahoma, but he really just wants the sex 7-In the morning its like this hangover and hes waking up to this gold diging mother that hes lieing nex to bed in perhaps groupie I'd say its a story of the life on the road of a rock and roll star, a description of one night on tour

even though it sounds weird, don t forget it s someone else s interpretation of love and emotion. it would be no good if we all thought the same , or how we get things accross. don t forget its a mans thoughts as well, god only knows what go s on inside their heads.

CSLOSIS the lyrics do make sense you have to use some imagination - not take everything so literally. like when you read a story. also there is a reference in one of those songs to a character in a film. you know the film "Withnail & I" ? anyway - i think the line is: "how dare you come to me like Withnail for a favor" the stuff makes sense it's just not always so obvious. makes it more interesting... poetic like. did you like litereature in school. it was the only subject i was any good at. maybe that's why i like this thread so much

THE SEEDS ur reply was wonderful. ... are u an old soul urself... i suspect some ol' soulness going on haha i get that all the time, though im skeptical because my parents are the type you'd call Old Souls so it could just be the way they raised me. My parents are into the whole michael teaching thing, i. e the thing that the old soul term came from.

Yeah most of the writing is worded figuratively, he does a really interesting job of it though.

speaking of lyric-revelations, I had one yesterday! if you look at the lyrics-section and "Trani", it's always been: "Chances are they tab their worm in a slab", and that's never made much sense to me. (could be that english is not my main language) but then it hit me.
"All the bubbas got their heads in a nod, they don't know what they love or deserve to get, Chances are they tap the worm in his lap, doesn't even know which fish he'd like to bite tonight"
it does make a lot more sense, at least to me. actually, it sounds like sheer, dirty brilliance. What do you think? Could this be it?

Try about 1:20 seconds into the song, he comes in near the chorus i think. All he really does is accentuate the notes. I cant hear the base either so he probably is playing the piano.
