he's at ringwood, in eastland shopping centre (i'm such a suburban girl!), though i haven't seen him in quite a while so i fear he may have moved on.. and trust me, i spend lotsa time in there, visiting the beautiful CDs that i''m too poor to buy  , si would've seen him! i'm never actually in the city, at least not by the light of day, so i'll just get JB to bring it in for me. they're really good about that. thanks for the tip! |

oMG! u live where i LIve and shop were i shop!! i have to say that there is purdy hair at the sanity shop also. have u seen?
i use to work at myer there b4 they no longer required my presence. 4 YEARS! i gave 4 years of my live to that hole *sniff* don't mind me lol.

that is kinda freaky. i thought you had to travel AT LEAST 50 km before finding someone else with taste! haven't seen any sanity hair, but i do remember in high school (like, 5 years ago!) there was a HOT sanity man with funky facial hair. sadly, he's long gone now, but man he was good. a whole generation of high school girls mourned his quitting at my school!

it's really werid that someone is on here who is sooo close to where i live and grew up. it's kinda cool. spooky but cool.
did u go to the BDO? or a sideshow. i'm sorry if u've already answere somewhere else..

thanks gnomey (can call you that? its a cool name!) and dead cactus for your help. I thought I was some sort of oddity and had been ripped off:) I think the YAYM cds in my nearest HMV are cardboard but I'll have a look. It never occured to me that they came in both. I like the cardboard one but it seems to get bashed around the edges cause I take it to school and stuff with me in my rucsack everyday. What is a digipack exactly? Im a ickle confuzled  Is it a dvd or something? Oh and can you get Kings of Leon on dvd yet?
Mmmmm just thought I would add that cool guys seem to like working in cd stores. There is this guy with absolutly awesome purple hair at the HMV 
Oh and my cardboard one has a white tree on it, well its kind of indented into the cd itself.I dont like the pics on the cd cover, inside

digipack is just the kind of case it comes it [the cardboardy thing] no idea why its called that though. as far as i know the normal one doesnt have any extra bits... you can get what i saw on dvd but i think its just region 2 [you have region 1 in canada?] anyway they have them on ebay for about £3. i voted for red morning light as it is my favourite and the one i listen to the most as it haswicker chair and talihina sky on it

aaah ok. I understand now, but I have alsolutly no idea what region we have. Has that got something to do with being able to play the dvd? Cause all ours dont work here but Im jst so confused.....

yeah, apparently region 1 will only play in canada etc but when i went to canada i was given (family lol) friends series 1 on dvd and it works just fine here. so what the hell, buy region 2...it might work!
but the whole digipack thing...has anyone noticed that, even in just digipack, the cd is different in newer ones to older ones? liek i got mine when it first came out but then in novemeber i bought it for a friend. and i wanted to see hers cuz i like looking at it, and it's slightly different. the copy control thing isnt in white, you can see the cd through it. and it just feels a bit different. i've not seen a jewel case one but i'm buying one soon so i'll have a look at that as well...

hey gnomey, sorry i've been offline for wahile, i live about 20mins from Ringwood, at the foot of mt Dandenong. I missed the BDO AND the sideshow, mostly cuz of being poor, but also partly cuz my friends have no taste. By the time i was able to convince ppl to go to the sideshow on the strength of the Strokes being there, tix were gone oh well, next time is a DEFINITE! which doesn't help me sleep at night but anyway..,. |
