I'm starting my first real job on sunday, telemarketing It sucks, but the pay is really good. I'll be selling insurance, and deals on house loans and electricity. Amongst other stuff, but those are my first assignments.

I work in a call centre. I could never do telemarketing though. A bunch of people in our centre went to telesales and then came back to customer service because it was too stressful. I don't mean to sound discouraging or anything... Some people are certainly more cut out for it than others, and I hope it works out for you.

Oh i know, most people find it terrible! I've had friends who quit after a month hah I think i can handle it though, i'm a very calm person in general and i don't get discouraged when people are rude to me or whatever, i think i can work it out It just takes some patience and being annoying as fuck, haha.

That's good. I used to have a friend who did cold calling for charity. I think he enjoyed being annoying as fuck.

Lucky ducky. Some days I'd rather be working in a place like that. But I think I'd be making even less than I am now.

I'm a care co-ordinator. I started off as a carer about 13 years ago, helping elderly and disabled people in their own homes. I then got asked to be a senior carer, which meant I continued to do the caring side of things but had to spend some time in the office too. Then, when my manager left I was asked to take over but I wasnt keen on doing a full time job so I accepted it as a job share so do part time unless there's hols or sickness. I dont like it though, I spend most of my time doing rotas and trying to get carers to cover sick leave. Once my boys leave school I definitely will be going back to the caring side of things. Far more rewarding, even if it is less money.

I'm a Support Assistant/Worker, supporting individuals with mental health problems. My job is to encourage and support these people to live a more active and independent lifestyle in any way i can. Only been doing it 7 months so i guess i'm still fairly new to it.
