New album is out soon and half of it is on youtube, some really great tracks!
I'm gonna see them support Oasis in June, can't wait! Really wanted to get tix for their Glasgow gig too but it was sold out straight away :/

I really liked the first album but I didn't think the second one as a whole was as good. Still had some awesome songs though. Can't wait to hear the new album

Kasabian are a band a person with my taste in music (i.e. - despises Oasis and anything Madchester) should hate. But I don't. I think their the best British Indie band out their at the moment, good guitar riffs, and catchy rhythm - and they seem to be making sure the confidence thing doesn't get out of hand (which is good - because that would drive me to hate them by default).
They've never made a good album for me though - they just have 3 or 4 good songs on an album and the rest is filler (in my opinion).
I saw them supporting Muse at Marley Park last summer - they were a good live band. By the way, they played a rougher version of Fire that day which I think was better then the one they have now (which is still good). The rough one emphasised the tempo change and had a bigger sound for the chorus - really took me by suprise the first time they did it, and that's something I always like in music.

Agreed!! I think they've been relatively successful cos they have a unique sound - there's nothing worse than a band trying to recreate someone else's sound

i love kasabian... i'm a huge fan of them since years, but unfortunately i never had the chance to go to a concert of them. i just found out that they are coming to germany end of august and i was very excited about that, BUT i'm leaving germany at the beginning of august hopefully they'll come again or i have to travel to the uk to see them.....

YAY!!! Karma karma karma for staring this thread! Kasabian are my 2nd favourite band, I love them! I wanted to go see them but I couldn't get time off work Favourite songs have to be Empire, Club Foot & Processed Beats, but I love Fire, Shoot The Runner & LSF too. And also Sergio Pizzorno is hot. I heart Serge.

I definitely agree on the 3/4 great songs and then the rest being pretty average though. I want a whole album of great songs this time. A lot of their others are forgettable to be honest >_<

will be seeing them support oasis next month at slane, 2 of the best bands around, cant wait.
new tune underdog is a real return to their best.
the start of vlad the impaler is lethal but not sure about the whole song together
fire, reminds me of the doors for some reason.
one of the very few bands about with any real balls
