^ And so you should! Haha Kasabian working on 'Pink Floyd sounding' new album, Tom Meighan admits that they've already written most of it Kasabian have revealed that they're working on a Pink Floyd sounding new album. The follow-up to this years 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum', frontman Tom Meighan revealed they've already got a selection of "beautiful" new tracks. "[Guitarist] Sergio [Pizzorno]'s got a body of work already, its very 'Dark Side Of The Moon', Pink Floyd," Meighan told internet radio station Dabbl.co.uk. "[Its] very essential and very beautiful, piano-based songs that sound beautiful and we're going to really grunge them up a bit." He added. Although, the Leicester band are busy working on their new album, Meighan admitted that it would be some time before they look at heading into the studio, because of the group's touring commitments. "We're nearly there," he explained. "But we've just got to go and take 'West Ryder [Pauper Lunatic Asylum]' round the world and show it to people." He added.

“I think we’re going to start recording in October and November. Serge has demoed the album already and it got it to the standard where he can give it to me and I can do what I want with it, so it’s 50 percent done and it’s wonderful. These songs are well exciting mate. I’ve heard it all and it’s a really great record. I can’t give you details about it because it’s so early, but it’s going to knock the shit out of West Ryder... It’s going to knock the shit out of it man, I promise you. West Ryder… is doing the business but this one is fantastic, it’s something else.”
August issue of Q mentioned some track names: "... one with the working title Gypsy & it sounds like later Jackson 5... The other is La Fee Vert (The Green Fairy) It's got a Syd Barrett dimension to it - it'll be a proper psychadelic anthem with a massive chorus you can sing your heart out to"
It'll be interesting to hear these!
