I've been listening to him a lot recently and it was the anniversary of his death last week. I forgot how incredibly amazing the man was to be honest.
This is just an appreciation thread for him.
Who else loves Jeff?

ME! SO MUCH! I still find it so incredibly sad that he died so young and with so much more to offer I often go for ages without listening to him and then spend a few weeks listening to nothing else! I love that there are so many diff live recordings and things - when i first discovered him i thought there was only grace but I'm glad i found more!

Yeah I mean if Grace was that amazing, think of what else he could've done :[ it's so sad.
And Neon please buy it! You won't regret it, it's an amazing album. The live albums are also brilliant.

That settles it then - It's on my list. And i always wondered - where does your avatar come from? Great :] hopefully that'll be another fan of Jeff, then. It's Seth off The O.C. being drunk and trying to be "stealth" so his parents don't notice. He just ends up rolling across the bonnet of the car and basically falling off infront of his parents aha it's brilliant.

I love him. I was thinking of starting a thread on the 29th for his anniversary but i didn't know where to put it. I adore him. I can't listen to 'Hallelujah' without getting shivers and goosebumps. And sometimes tears. And 'You and I' off 'Sketches for my Sweetheart' is so haunting and beautiful. I listened to it about 6 times in a row one day. There was no-one in the house and i just kept repeating it and i was reading the little booklet in 'Live at l'Olympia' that says about his death and all. Man i got depressed that day. Especially seen as it was so close to his anniversary. And Lover You Should've Come Over, So Real, Grace, Yard of Blond Girls, Witches Rave, New Years Prayer and Eternal Life are some of my other favourites. My brother was throwing out an old NME he had from this time last year and it had a poster of Jeff commemorating his death and they had the date wrong AND the age he died at wrong??!! What the hell NME? Get your facts straight......I don't like NME much...... Anyway to some up. JEFF IS A LEGEND.

I hate NME - i've said that before on this forum and i wasn't the only one who thought so. So your not alone there

I'm not a massive fan of NME but then again, that's only from seeing very few articles and hearing things so I can't really comment.
There's no excuse for getting facts like that wrong about Jeff, though. That's just careless and not really very respectful in all honesty.

I know. I couldn't believe it! I mean if your going to write a bit in remembrance you'd want to get simple things straight first. They couldn't really give a shit i don't think. They just want to make sure they have all the most popular people in their magazine. Like Mr. Fielding etc. My brother said they kind of dismissed Arcade Fire's first album and then when everyone else was raving about it they gave the second one a brilliant review. It's like they just want to be in with everyone and won't say somethings good unless other people think so too. They wouldn't want to be considered uncool.....Ugh...

While I haven't really listened to a lot of his music, I personally think that "Last Goodbye" is one of the best songs ever, seriously.

Wow. Jeff Buckley is amazing. He has the most beautiful voice. I remember when I was younger, I was on holiday in France with the family, and it involed lots of long car journeys. Well, the only thing playing in the car which the whole family could agree on was Jeff Buckley's Grace album. (We'd got bored of Radiohead by now. Lol) And I fell in love with him then. Yeassss. I agree. He's amazing, and such a terrible loss.
