Seriously, buy it.
Today I listened to Grace 5 times.
Some of his best songs are "Lover, You Should've Come Over", "Grace", "So Real". But the whole album is amazing.

"Lover, You Should've Come Over" was the song that converted me into a Buckley fan, along with "Hallelujah." But I usually have a favorite depending on the time of the month/year, haha. It's been "Forget Her" at one time, then "Last Goodbye," "Dream Brother," "Je N'en Connais Pas La Fin," "I Want Someone Badly," you name it, I've been obsessed with it at some point. Right now I'm absolutely in love with "Lilac Wine." I still say "Everybody Here Wants You" is the sexiest song EVER (followed closely by Cornell's "Pillow of Your Bones")

I suppose it's quite sensual in a romantic way but i think Yard of Blonde Girls is just sexy as f***! Mmmm i love that song. Anyway Callum you HAVE to buy Grace! It is one of the best albums ever. Just pure perfection on every song, that amazing voice....... Check out some songs on Youtube or something first if you want. Hallelujah, Lover You Should've Come Over, So Real, Mojo Pin and Grace are my favourite on that album. Myu other favourites of his are Satisfied Mind, You and I, Yard Of Blonde Girls, New Years Prayer.......there's just soooo many ...... I'll stop now! Callum here's some links: Grace www.youtube.com/watch?v=siNsgbIWhAQSo Real(amazing song!) www.youtube.com/watch?v=WolmjxD4hn4Mojo Pin Live-I cried the second this started.....i don't know why.....just cos he played there live and it's hard to believe he's gone. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQJFunXnz4o&feature=relatedBTW has anyone ever heard Damien Rice's version of Hallelujah also done on guitar? It's second to Jeff's version in my opinion. Jeff's will always be my favourite song EVER. But Damien puts a lot or emotion into it too.

Ok it took me forever to find this thread but i did it eventually. I'm ressurecting it today as it's Jeff's 12th anniversary today. RIP Jeff, you are sorely missed by your family and by millions of fans who are still as devoted to your albums as they were when you first released Grace. My biggest regret is that i never got to see you perform live. You are an absolute legend and have the voice of an angel. Love you always.

Okay, so I've just recently gotten into Jeff (as by recently I mean like two days ago). haha. Anyway, was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a first timer of his music to check out? Or if anyone wants to send me any that would be sweet too. :-P

Ok it took me forever to find this thread but i did it eventually. Are you aware of the search function on the forum? It's at the top of the top of the page and you can type in any keyword to find things easily. Though like on Google, the more popular what you're looking for, the more hits you'll get. On the topic of Jeff.. I absolutely LOVE him! His voice was so unique and beautiful, his songs amazing. As some have already said, his version of Hallelujah is the best I'll ever hear. I recently heard the original by Leonard Cohen and I thought it was horrible, but that's partly due to the fact that that guy doesn't really sing. My best friend & I were so upset when we heard he'd drowned. My mum asked why we were so down and when we explained she was alike "oh yea, I'd heard about some singer being missing, but I didn't realise you knew or even liked the guy.." (typical mum-thing.. ). R.I.P Jeff, long live your music.

And Michelle in relation to recommendations the only thing i can say is definitely get your hands on Grace. It's just an unbelievable album. And i love Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk too. I got another edition of Grace that they re-released for it's 15th Anniversary- it's got all live performances of the songs and a DVD too.
