Do you think "Lucyfur" will make the album or do you think that will just be an unreleased track? It surfaced in time to be a B-Side for a OBTN single but it never made it out.

I don't know why, but for some reason I have a bad feeling that this is gonna be their last album...

^^^^Based on what? (well, if they call it "Altar Call" then you would be correct.) I am hoping for the sake of many band members that it isnt so, b/c then many of them will soon die of alcoholism if the band is over.

I don't know, I guess because they're all getting older. (And people are talking about Caleb's receding hairline and it's freaking me out!) It's just a feeling I have, it's not something I read in a review or magazine article.

People have been talking about his hairline since 2004. It's been 6 years. Still the same hair. I guess time will tell. But it doesnt seem like they'd disband cold turkey. Question is---will they have things to write about? Since their lives seem to be pretty sheltered. Suppose this new album will be a good indicator of where they are heading.

Hahaha Caleb's receding hairline makes you worried about there ever gonna be a 6th album? His hairline's been receding since the start of the band. "18 balding star" anyone? And if 30 is old, then come bury me now.

U2 got older, The Edge lost his hair. . . where are they now? Probably the biggest band in the world. I think they will take a long break after this album (3 years) perhaps if one gets bored he might jump in and start a side project but for the most party I doubt this is their last album. I agree with NikNorris, one for sure would die of alcoholism.

Geez, for serious? Not all rockstars fall so young (and please, 30 is not old).

It kinda seems like they're not all on the same page anymore. If the breaks keep getting longer and longer, soon there won't be a break, they'll just be done. And going with NikNorris, their lives have become pretty sheltered, so I don't know, we'll wait it out and see. And I'm definitely not saying 30 is old.

omg, i'm listening 2 those live tracks right now and what can i say??? this band knows how to come up with something new every single album!! awesome! mary sounds like a great epic heartbreak song, radioactive shows how incredible matt is on guitar and nate on drums...and wow, i fell in love with 'southbound' after the first 5 seconds in...what a beautiful song!
4 words left to say:
I ADORE THIS BAND

I was thinking that too, from those 4 new songs, how they manage to come up with something new all the time, yet still remain to be very much just be them.

I didn't mean to make such a big thing out of me having a feeling this would be their last album. I'm sorry. Reading over it again, I'm realizing it was a stupid thing to say. My bad... :/

Recap from some posts on this page Nee: I hope you saw the videos, cos I believe the majority has already been removed again. Nik: "Altar Call" is only 3 syllables, that's never gonna be an album title. Carrie: I know. I'll send out positive thoughts that Friday will still be on. ('cos I can't type when I have my fingers crossed.)

No, Erin, I didn't see the videos. But that's okay. I'm sure some more will pop up somewhere. Carrie, I'm sure Caleb's voice will recover (I'm guessing this is what put you in a bad mood?) by then! Hope he is ingesting large amounts of licorice lozenges.

Damnit I missed the videos!!! If I could have been home last night, I would have made mp3's of all of them before they were taken down! Fook me.
And what's this Altar Call!? I thought the album was gonna be called Come Around Sundown? Did I miss something? (Probably)

You didn't miss something, you just didn't read the posts correctly/get the joke. Obviously Nik (& I) were joking about that Altar Call title.
