They should all be on there, OBTN even if only for unit sales.
NME is a sack of shit though and just jumps from fad to fad.
Do The View ever get mentioned in it any more? Cos they were meant to be a MASSIVE band according to NME.
The Cribs declared Best Live Act in the world by NME despite a lack of a decent vocalist. (Just in case anyone is wondering, I do actually like The Cribs but they can't sing live!!)

The Cribs are just shit though. The View showed a lot of promise but ultimately haven't delivered.
A few notable points: Muse at only #49. The inclusion of absolute tripe like Vampire Weekend - I mean, seriously? That is better than the likes of Fleet Foxes and Modest Mouse? Think Tank is the worst Blur album, it's as if they just wanted Blur on the list. Also surprising is the lack of NME-championed 'era-defining' albums like Kasabian and Franz Ferdinand's debuts. I would've thought Hot Fuss, Employment and American Idiot would be represented, too. Of the top 50, only 12/13 would be in my top 50. It is all personal though, nobody is going to think it is perfect. The exclusion of KOL before #79 is criminal, and even then they didn't get the right album.
Ho hum.

With the words 'NME' and 'top 100 albums of the decade' in the title you just know the list is gonna be shit.

Ho hum. thank you I am extremely upset with NME at this point. most importantly, Hot Fuss by the killers and Franz were not in there!! NME praises the killers all the time, they've been there since the beginning. they totally betrayed them. so I wouldn't pay any attention to this list. clearly, the majority of people love Aha Shake..and we know how amazing it is. NME is just mistaken. I'll be sending them my complaints.

I'm so surprised that YAYM was the only one there when the next two got far better reviews! And agreed with all the things that should have made it: no Fleet Foxes, no Killers, no Arctic Monkeys, The National's 'Alligator' instead of 'Boxer', 'In Rainbows' being placed ahead of 'Kid A'... *shakes head* Can't complain about the number one spot though, Is This It is fucking class
