I looked for a thread, but couldn't find one so I started this.
I think KOL should release and album of their b-sides! Only just today I heard "Beneath the Surface" for the first time. I just think it s a shame that these songs are sort of buried.
Any thoughts?

Yes, and yes, and yes. My Third House?!?!?! Where Nobody Knows?!?! WhoHoo and Head to Toe?
They are some of their best songs!
Frankly, I'd take an album of B Sides over OBTN any day.

And it certainly would be better than the album with remixes.

^ Couldn't agree more there! I spose they'd have to leave it for a couple of albums time to get enough songs to go on an album. Although the Killers did one after only 2.... And I'm sure they've got some unreleased things floating around in a studio somewhere! Now THAT would be great to hear. The stuff that didn't even make it to being a B-side, it would be amazing *gets ridiculously excited*

I'm with you all on this. Though it wouldn't be all that new & exciting to me anymore, cos I already burnt a cd with all the b-sides and some alternative versions of album tracks.

Ooooh My!!! I was just thinking about this today!!! I was on my way long bus ride and listening to KOL and wondered why some of the B-sides were even better from the songs that get to be on the album! I remember once hearing Caleb saying that some of his favorite songs are the ones that dont make it on the record and it made me think of all that we're missing! and about the remixes album (the one of pharrel and justin timberlake) we'll just have to wait and see...I dont wanna say Im not going to like it beacuse who knows!!?? strangest things had happened..but i'm almost positive i will not like it!!! but I totally agree with lovekolgirl (sorry I dont know your name) most of the b sides kick obtn's ass..but Im hoping the new record and the songs that they are currently working on will kick all of the songs ass's...sorry if that didnt make any sense..im rambling as usual!

Sounds like a good idea but I probably wouldn't buy it since I already have all the b-sides....if they would throw in a couple of unreleased songs we have never heard before, that would be awesome!

So, what are all the b-sides?
I know Woo Hoo, Beneath the Surface, Frontier City, My Third House. Isn't Talahina Sky a hidden track, but not a b-side?
Curious...

How about Head To Toe & Wicker Chair? Iirc Where Nobody Knows & Talihina Sky are hidden tracks. Not sure if Molly's Hangover is a b-side or just some rarity.

Molly's Hangover is a b-side of Wasted Time I'd love a b-side album, some of them are my favourites too.

The alternate version of Talihina Sky is honestly the most beautiful thing I've heard in my life. It's my most played song on iTunes, and I got it WAY after all the other songs in my top 25. It's just stunning. It's the kind of song I play to all my friends, I want everyone to know and love it, so that should go on an album

Noooo.. leave them be. I don't want people knowing what I'm on about when I say Wicker Chair is my favourite song. It makes me feel superior! Yes, i'm a snob.

the band alkaline trio did that... they put out an album with just b-sides/rarities! i've always thought KOL should do that!

Yeah it's good to feel superior sometimes isn't it?! But still i would love an album of b-sides- i just made my own copied version though. More bands should do that though- Muse did it too.

Haha I've made myself about 3 discs of B-sides, I kept discovering more, and I'm really finicky so I wanted them all one one! I reckon you could count the original Wasted Time and California Waiting too- not technically B-sides but fantastic rareties, that old stuff was just gold! Can't say I'm a huge fan of Molly's Hangover though, it just seems a bit random . Too all over the place...
