I know we already know it, but Kings of Leon are just overwhelmingly amazing live! I was going through some of their tracks, and came across a version of Arizona they performed totally live, i was amazed just how good the guys performed on this particular track! It easily beats the studio version of Arizona by a mile Just listen to how perfect Calebs Guitar and Vocals are, and how perfect Jareds bass, Matts guitar and Nathans drums are on this track. Show anyone else this and they will say its a studio recorded track! Check it out, turn those speakers up! www.mediafire.com/download.php?didz3hdzhzy

Karma, thanks for sharing. Do you know where it's from? Sounds very similar to the version I have from Glastonbury 08, but then again the drums sound a bit different in this one...

kol09 you should give the Glastonbury version a try....it is very similar to the one you posted but, in my opinion, better. I think its perfection!

I reckon for live Arizona goodness you can't go past the Hammersmith Apollo performance, Matt's guitar (which for me is the most important bit of the song) just sounds richer

Firstly, thx for the Karma, appreciated as always:D
The version i posted was performed in April 2007 at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. Couldnt get over how brilliant it is live so i had to share with others.
And i had a listen to the Glastonbury 2008 version, perfection as always!
I dont know about you guys, but i find myself preferring the live versions to most of the pre recorded studio tracks. They take on a whole new life live in my opinion:)

I was at the Hammersmith Apollo gig. Arizona live = Amazing. Probably the best KOL gig I've ever been too.
Another one of my favourite Arizona performances is the AOL one. They way Caleb sings it, breaks my heart.

There are very few songs that I prefer studio over live. It seems like once I hear it live I just can't go back to the studio versions.

Yep Thats whats so special about the Kings, infact most of their songs on my iPod are live versions. And to CalebsMonaLisa, im jealous! Would loved to have been there that night, the setlist was excellent. And thank you for the AOL sessions vid, each version offers something different in my opinion, thumbs up Oh and i remember a member here, think the username is kultbert, she posted a cover she done of Matt's guitar work on Arizona, i recommend checking it out

Ooopsies, go me recommending what it already was I was on a different computer, must be why it sounded different! I'd never seen arizona from the AOL sessions, I dont know why and I have hastily and eagerly rectified that! I love those performances so much, not just becuase I own a cardigan very similar to Calebs (I don't have the hairy chest to pull it off though... ) And finally (very fragmented post here...) I totally agree about the live music thing, I'm trying to get all of their songs live on my iTunes, you really get something quite different out of them. Although nothing beats actually being there of course!

But then, they're also amazing in albums.

I don't think I've heard a bad live version of Arizona yet. That song is damn perfection.

I once read a comment, on youtube where some guy said he thought Caleb couldnt sing, I felt offended. Listening to knocked up right now, gosh I love that song, but to come back to the subject, Arizona is near perfect as well, or no should I say perfect, full stop.

Argh i hate 90% of the comments on youtube! Not just KoL vids, but any vid, those people have perma-rage! Always cussing and being nasty, the language is terrible most of the time. And i completely hate those idiots that diss Kings of Leon for no valid reason, its so obvious they are just jealous of how amazing these guys are, especially live Anyway, good to see everyone else enjoying the guys live songs:D
