there is a guy saying on youtube that the kings agreed on that remix, I cant actually believe they would say yes to that s***. I know music is about personal tastes but come on, you really must have shit in your ears if you actually believe this is good, no no no. Sorry for all who like it

Sweet mother of FUCK what the hell is that??? The boys seriously need to cop themselves on when it comes to this kind of corporate shite. Permission never should have been granted for this, whether it was the boys themselves that made the decision or not. If it was the record company then the boys should start fucking looking elsewhere because this kind of shit is indefensible.

I'm afraid that as long as royalties are being paid, you don't need the band's permission.
I didn't even listen to this, as the word 'clubland' put me off.

I ACCIDENTALLY (capitals are needed here!) came across this in the early hours of this morning on tv (hopefully that's the only time it'll be shown...) and actually considered getting my tattoo lasered off incase people would mention this cover to me. I'm only joking, but I did think what the fuck has happened?! And then wanted to puke in my mouth.

^^Seriously? So the boys have no control over who uses their work? I'm not quite sure how it works, but I can't imagine bands having to personally give permission to every fool who wants to record their songs and totally butcher it in the process. Obviously, there is the whole royalties thing, where the performer (cover artist) has to pay the author and why samples need to be cleared before rappers can use bits in their songs, but I believe that's more a matter of the legal department than with the bands themselves.

This version is brutal! Im sure everyone else cringed when they heard the first few seconds of it.
Also, most of the time its the record company that agrees on who makes covers and stuff from their artists songs. And its true that on some occasions, the artist has no say on who does and doesnt cover their material. They are only entitled to royalty payments. You do get some performers who have a bigger say on what happens with their stuff, but its the evil record companies that pretty much own you and have the final say.
Im certain Kings of Leon do not approve of this filth!
