Seems to me it's a compilation of music that one would THINK that they had to listen to and be influenced by, not the actual music that made an impact on them. A nice mix of old blues though. I guess if you are from the South, it's automatically assumed that you must love the blues and CCR.

free bird is played once a day every day on southern rock radio thus it lends itself to either throwing the radio into the wall or yodeling idiotically to it every time
anyhow.
Shake 'Em on Down - Bukka White was on the (Mojo?) compliation CD with the magazine that did have "roots, friends and influences of KoL. The only garenteed genuine one track.
Naturally unofficial, it also doubley makes me want to cry....
