Just got back and thought the gig was amazing. The crowd were really good and seemed to know most of the songs!
The band were in a great mood and seemed to have a really good time. Caleb was really happy and smiley, no hissy fits or trouble with the sound engrs
Set List :
Crawl
Charmer
Be Somebody
Taper Jean Girl
Molly's
Fans
Milk
Revelry
I want You
The Bucket
Four Kicks
SoF
Notion
Manhattan
On Call
Cold Desert
Trani
Closer
Knocked Up
Use Somebody
Black Thumbnail
Stand outs for me were Crawl, Molly's, Cold Desert & Blk Thumbnail.
Caleb's Speeches (what I can remember!!!) :
He gave a shout out to "the ppl in camouflage" and pointed to a seated section (I guess it was a group from the Military) and he said that they were "his kinda of ppl"
Thanked a Glasvegas "who are from Glasgow" (which I liked as I'm from Glasgow and it was weird hearing Caleb say it!!) Glasvegas were woeful BTW
He talked about having a great year and the spotlight being on them esp him and it wasn't always easy. Said a great line "we are not an Arena Band, but a Band playing in an Arena".
Said a few time that the crowd were great (which I agreed with).
After Use Somebody (2nd last song) a few ppl started to leave and Caleb spotted them and shouted in a light-hearted way "where are y'all going - do you want us to play SoF again", the then started laughing and waved his arm to dismiss them and said to the rest of us "I love you all son of a bitches Detroit" and launched into an AWESOME version of Black Thumbnail where the WHOLE BAND completed rocked out. Matt was standing on the Caleb's monitor right at the front of the stage with his geeetar in the air, Caleb and Jared were totally head-banging, Nate was going hell for leather and Caleb finished on his knees
The whole band then stood for several minutes clapping and cheering at the crowd I think they had as much fun as we did.
I took some pics and a vid of Trani, but will have to wait until I get to our hotel in Chicago / or home before I can upload them.
All in all, I thought it was a better gig than when I seen them at the O2 in June and I didn't think that was possible, worth all the miles travelled from Scotland
PS : I think I may have missed one song from the set list, not sure
