Hey guys, does anyone have any suggestions for other music similar to the early Kings stuff (Y&YM esp.)? I'm thinking of that pretty raw southern rock sound as well as the bluesy stuff (trani, dusty)
Cheers

I'm not sure if they are "just like" the kings per se, but a friend recommended that I listen to The National's early stuff on the basis that it sounded like them (their first CD has that stripped back, raw YAYM sound) and they are truly amazing! The song I was thinking of putting is called 'Pay For Me', as it was the one that sucked me in, but it's not on youtube... This ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=psbKIlVHDaw ) is 'Theory of the Crows' and is equally as good though! Happy listening

If you're looking for something REALLLLY similiar listen to American Bang they sound EXACCCCTLY like the kings I wouldn't say it's a rip off cuz American Bang is a GREAT band but definitely definitely could be mistaken for KOL
particular example: youtube american bang "wild and young"
