I really do think they have to cut SOF and USe Somebody out. If they're not happy I'm not happy and I'm pretty sure that counts for most if not all people on here. I missed all the drama because I left during SOF. I nearly had to leave during Revelry as I think it's KOL weakest song and to put it in your headline slot at Reading but leave the real gems out is probably a bad move as everyone around me instantly perked up then because they only fucking know one cd. A good few people around me were singing to the oldies, I was literally right at the back because I wanted to go see Marmaduke Duke seeing as I've seen KOL so much and will be seeing them again 3 times next month. In a way I'm glad I left because I share their frustration with the crowd and had I stayed it probably would have ruined it for me. I do get frustrated at them for having "tantrums" about people coming for 2 songs, but what do they expect? They put it out there. I could never be angry at them though, and what I did see was fucking beautiful. There's something not quite right I can't put my finger on lately but whatever it is it's made my love die down a bit and it's not good Sorry this is so long, but seriously cut out those two songs and leave the "FANS" feeling frustrated rather than the band and I think we'd all benefit from it!

Hey, I am new here (been a lurker) but I have to just get my view out there. I was there on friday night, about 4 rows from the front and it was so packed that there was barely any room to move and it wasn't cold (!) I was bloody close to heat exhaustion. All those around me seemed like proper KOL fans not SOF fans. We were all dancing and singing along which wasn't heard due to the wind I don't think but then it seemed that the band became rather pissy. I mean who says in front of 30,000 people whether they've come for the whole set or a couple of songs, 'I know you're fed up of Kings of Leon... We're fed up of Kings of Leon too!' ?? Way to put a downer on the evening. I mean I've read people say that they didn't look to bothered about the set on stage from watching it on the telly, but I didn't actually SEE much as i'm too short but I was dancing and listening and they sounded great. After Caleb said the shizz everyone seemed perturbed and not quite sure what to do. Instead of moaning and bitching, they could have stepped it up and tried to persuade the crowd otherwise. Now, I love KOL they are my favourite band and I've seen them 4 times now but Jesus they were headlining and they marred it, don't blame it on the crowd, not all of us were staring blankly at you! So I spent my weekend defending them to randomers who were slagging them off cos of their bitching, i.e 'OI they were tired!!!' 'They didn't tell the crowd to fuck off exactly...' (which now looking back, they kinda did. PFF.) I mean honestly, and then I come home to find that they've been twitter bitching about us! Blimey we're your fans you freaking donut! I don't think this post makes much sense but I had to moan after that downer probably because I heart them that little bit too much. Next time KOL shut up, you've disappointed a loyal fan here. ...still love you though.

I think I would have reacted exactly the same as you Hamlet. Caleb needs to pull his pants out of his ass and just play the fucking set. If the crowd doesn't seem into it, then give them something to get into!
From his behaviour and Nathan's tweet you'd never know they were paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to be there, would you? They don't just just play for us out of the good of their hearts! It's not like they're doing their audience a favour by playing for them.

And I think if it was me I would also be a bit hurt by Calebs comments. I heard it was really windy and perhaps the sound wasn't the best? Maybe they couldn't hear everyone singing along? Anyway...the Kings need to realise that not every one of those 30,000 or so people in attendance was there to see them. It wasn't a Kings concert it was a music festival with loads of different bands. I have one word for Caleb and the boys....egos...come on guys what is going on? Take a break...have a well earned rest....plz?
