This had probably been said before, but has anyone noticed how many celebrities now are being seen at KOL shows? This is just last night at the LA Forum:
Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel, Orlando Bloom & Miranda Kerr and Eddie Cibrian & LeAnn Rimes. Miley Cyrus (with actor pal Carter Jenkins), Zachary Quinto, Leona Lewis, Camilla Belle, Anna Faris, Amanda Bynes, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Chuck star Yvonne Strahovski were also in attendance.
Plus at the Vancouver show the whole Twilight cast, plus like Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens and other "celebrities" were there.
I just don't like how all these celebrities are suddenly huge KOL fans, getting the best seats at all the shows and saying their huge fans, really it's all just publicity.
Was just surprised at how many celebrities there were at one show..hmph

Anyone who follows the traversty that is "kingsofleonfans" on Twitter will have had an eareyefull of this already! About 20 times they mentioned how the Twilight people were kissing at one of their shows... It is kindof wierd. But I agree with tamtam, I think famous people have been coming to their shows for ages (and back then people probably accused them of trying to be indie cool / hipster or something ). Plus, maybe Miley will be awed and realise what good music sounds like?

I remember Cillian Murphy mentioning KOL a few years back - he said ASH was his favorite album. He also said he loved their "assertive haircuts".

Liv Tyler has always been a big fan of theirs too, right from the very beginning. I don't mind the celebrities, but all the ones mentioned in the first post, it reminds me of the whole 'SOF fans' ordeal... Could just be me though

Could just be me though I read an interview with Liv Tyler, and they asked her about what bands she was into: 'Ive been listening to Kings of Leon for about 7 years'. Thought that was a slight exageration at the beginning, but thats not far off.

yeah I don't mind the celebs coming to the shows either. Well the Twilight and HSM kids coming to the shows irritates me but they irritate me even when they don't come to KOL shows!

People from Gossip Girl are in the habit of going to KOL shows too, aren't they? I'm really bad with who's who, but I know at least two of the guys have been.

Its a shame nobody mentioned in the list is actually a musician (including trousersnake!), which would be nice to see them getting respect from people in the industry, instead they're all actors which does lead me to think they're there to be seen.
On the other hand they could all have incredible taste in music and since KOL have been mainly under the radar in america till recently, they've just been too into their careers until now to make time to look into bands that aren't mainstream over there.
It would be nice though if the best seats were kept for fans that have been supporting the band for a long time instead of whoever's in style that month (and i bet they didn't have to pay as much as we do - if anything - for the tickets!)

Seriously! It's like they are there because they think that it's the cool thing to do. Like it's trendy or something! so lame!...but mostly I'm jealous because they get to experience KOL live, while I've never

Although to be fair, a lot of famous people live in LA. And a lot of people listen to KoL. And of course, the tabloids are going to point out the famous people that went because of that very reason - they are famous. So it is only 10ish out of the thousands of people who go to each show. And we all know that, of those thousands, a significant portion will go just because they have heard a couple of songs. What I'm saying is, even though these people may seem unlikely candidates for a Kings audience, they a) may actually be proper fans, but can't help getting spotted, or b) are, like many people, going on a whimsy, because they can/ like live music. I'd love some sort of invention that tests people's fandom and gives them a spot in the barrier accordingly, but until that day comes... The celebs are a very small proportion of the crowd, and have just as equal rights as anybody to be there...
