I was the one handing out jolly ranchers and gum... So if you got any, that was me! Don't really have a review or pictures, I was just there to enjoy the show (it was my first KOL concert) but Matt and Calebs little antics and faces were beyond adorable! Valerie, me and LauraLimonada got some of your gum and jolly ranchers THANKS!

I doubt it was my gum in Jessies hair, I was in GA the whole time &it seems like the people who I gave gum to were in GA as well. It sucks that someone would do that to her, Oh, Amanda Bynes was there too. Spotted her near Jessie.

Had the best time ever at the Forum...despite the idiot system they employed to admit us GA-ers into the venue. Luckily, I made it to my favorite spot on the barrier right in front of Jared...who looked amazing which made it all worthwhile (and with a shiny little plug in his right earlobe which must be brand-new)? They played their little hearts out for the packed house of screaming, cheering fans, much of their family (and many celebs, who I didn't notice as I was too focused on the Kings). They did the best versions of "Crawl", "Slow Night So Long" and "Red Morning Light" I have ever seen/heard (this was show #18 for me). Caleb's thank you speech, which segued into a powerful rendition of "Cold Desert" had me in tears, but tears of love for the Kings and joy as this was a very very special moment I knew I would always cherish. After the show, as Laura will probably describe when she posts her review, we spotted tiny Molly Belle Followill and her mom leaving the backstage area with their manager, Andy, who kindly spoke with us and was very friendly (but not too giving - - of details about what the boys were up to after the show ). It was a special show for them obviously as it represented them coming full circle after playing in the same venue a few years earlier as the under-appreciated openers for Bob Dylan...Caleb was smiling throughout and shook his fist in triumph as they were exiting the stage to the tumultuous roar of the crowd. I will be posting my pics as soon as I can...I got a few really great ones!

Is that what her twitpic was about? I couldn't tell what was going on. So someone threw gum from the GA section to side of the stage? That is some fucked up hater shit.

Ok lemme set the record straight: valerie was kind enough to share her gum & candies with me ands msappleshaker while we were waitin in the GA line. (hi girl! Thanks! Wish we woulda chatted more) Completely unrelated gum story: someone put gum in jessies hair those jerks! Who knows where the gum came from coulda been someone in the row right behind her who knows I'm typin on Stacy iPhone again so I'll keep it brief: the LA show was amazin. I'll never forget this KOL adventure And Molly Belle is a friggin rock star. Two shows back-to-back and she's only a couple months old? Haha! I feel a Post-show depression comin on that's how u know it was good...

Was that your last one Laura? I'm really surprised there's not more on this show (both here and the official site)...it's actually kind of dead! But I knew I could count on you guys to follow through! Glad you'all had a good time

Ok...am finally able to give a proper review of Saturday night’s show after resting up a bit yesterday. After having lined up for 5 hours prior to the doors opening at 7:00, it was survival of the fittest insofar as getting to the barrier, lemme tell ya, but we made it right up front a little to the right of Jared’s mic. I’d only been to the Forum a few times for basketball games back when the Lakers used to play there, so to be on the floor and to watch the remaining space on the floor and the seats slowly but surely fill up was pretty incredible. There were lots of empty seats when The Whigs came on shortly after 8:00 and those that showed up before the Kings started missed out on a great live show by an amazing band. It was my first time seeing them and I have to say I was taken aback by how good they were. Just straight up no frills southern rock-n-roll. Hmm...reminds me of another band we all know and love. They played for about 40 or 45 minutes with Parker stopping to acknowledge the Kings and to remind us a few times who they were and that they were from Athens, Georgia. They come back to LA mid-November, so may have to check them out since they'll be in a smaller venue. After waiting about a half an hour and watching Nacho (he gave a cute little wave when he first came out on stage) and the rest of the crew setting up, the Kings arrived around 9:20 and opened with ‘Be Somebody’ which thrilled me to no end since they didn’t play it last October at the Nokia Theatre. The boys sounded amazing and even though I’d never been on the barrier before, I have to say that I am forever spoiled and there’s no way I would go to one of their concerts without being that close again. Being in close proximity of sweaty and sexy Caleb was almost too much for this girl to bear. Caleb was so happy with the crowd’s response and even said so on more than one occasion and repeatedly pumped his fist to acknowledge the crowd (got a pic or two of him doing so). Matty smiled a lot and lemme tell you those dimples of his are a sight to behold and that fan blowing his hair around and him smoking on numerous occasions made for some phwoarsome viewage. I got some pretty good close up shots of Nathan who really seemed to be enjoying himself and chugged down some massive amounts of beer which was kept right next to him. I captured a few shots of Jared's bass face in full effect, so will post those in a bit. The guys from The Whigs came back on to the side of the stage and were making faces at Jared while he was playing on his little keyboard during 'On Call'. He kept his composure though and seeing him mess with his hair numerous times was very cute. Some gals behind us yelled 'we love you Jared' a few times and even yelled for him to take his shirt off. He was unphased by it all though. Personal faves of mine were 'Taper Jean Girl', ‘Slow Night, So Long’, ‘Four Kicks’ (the crowd behind us went mental during that one and was one of the few times that I got pushed into the barrier), ‘Charmer’, ‘Knocked Up’, ‘Crawl’, ‘Manhattan’ (yelled go Matthew into my girlfriend’s ear (my apologies) while he was dancing it up towards the end), and ‘Notion’ (also my first time hearing that one live). I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t play ‘California Waiting’ or 'King of the Rodeo', but was excited to hear ‘Red Morning Light’ which I don’t think they played last year. I would have liked for them to have thrown something in different like their new devil song or maybe play a b-side like ‘Frontier City’ which I’ve been listening to a lot lately. The encore was amazing which ended with a rousing version of ‘Black Thumbnail’. Caleb was going a bit mental tossing his head around like he did at Lollapalooza, so he may have had a few shots of whiskey from the red cups that Nacho was handing him. Oh, Caleb also knotted up his hanky and I swear he looked right at me while doing so (I'm sure other gals around me thought the same thing) and threw it our way, but it went a tad over my head, so after my failed attempt...had to apologize to the gal next to me for bonking her in the head. My friend who's a Jared lover said 'what the hell would you do with a sweaty hanky' and I said you have no idea By far, the best concert I’ve been too...of course being on the barrier for the first time in my life in the presence of the Kings may have something to do with it. I can’t wait until they come back to LA. Am currently suffering from ‘Followithdrawals’ which come with the following symptoms: Feeling of jumpiness or nervousness Feeling of shakiness Anxiety, irritability or easily excited Emotional volatility/ rapid emotional changes Depression Fatigue Difficulty with thinking clearly /end fangirl rant

Ahh! Awesome show on Saturday night!
I'm so glad I got to hang with the other HAers in the pit.
It was my...ninth show and I'm finally at the point where I don't even care about the setlist anymore. EVERY song is awesome, every song is a treat. I jumped, I danced, I sang at the top of my lungs and I got sweaty. It doesn't get better than that.
Wish we could've seen them after the show. Even a wave from their cars as they drove away would've been better than nothing, but I can't really complain because it was the best concert I've been too.

Am currently suffering from ‘Followithdrawals’ which come with the following symptoms: Feeling of jumpiness or nervousness Feeling of shakiness Anxiety, irritability or easily excited Emotional volatility/ rapid emotional changes Depression Fatigue Difficulty with thinking clearly Yep, I have the same symptoms!! Seriously, the train ride home last night was unbearably sad! After being surrounded by KOL lovers all weekend and sharing awesome stories about anything and everything (in a high-class luxurious hotel no less), it was hard to go back to the real world. This was my 13th time seeing them. Lucky number 13 and honestly the best ever!! I just feel a beaming sense of pride knowing that our boys are accomplishing so much. I really thought I'd be more bitter about the whole "sex somebody" popularity but I can't be bitter at something I love so much. I think a big part has to do with the fact that I've met so many amazingly wonderful people through KOL that are now in my life forever. I won't say any names but you know who you are *Sigh* I'm all sentimental now. And as I was saying on twitter, it really feels like the end of my crazy adventures, at least for a little while. It's been an awesome run but I need to really get serious about saving some money- NOT just for KOL related trips! Geez, I seriously feel so incredibly nostalgic for that night when Andie, Stacy and I boarded a Greyhound bus and went to see them at the Download Festival in Mountain View. And people would ask us why we were making such a trip and we'd say "To see Kings of Leon" which was unquestionably folllowed by "Who?" *Sigh* How is it possible to feel so much love for a freaking band? I guess if I knew the answer to that, I might not be here right now huh? It's the unexplainable aspect of it that keeps me coming back. Ok, I'm done with the existential, emotional crap. Done love you all so very much
