Sorry for the long post peeps but was interested to know some stats about the guys recent touring. Some of the figures might be wrong but below are some figures, give or take one or two numbers I'm nearly sure they are right.
Kings of Leon technically finished touring Because of the Times on April 18, 2008 in Boston. From that date until June 11 they were off. Since June 11, 2008 and up until the end of the tour in October they will have played 157 shows. This includes Letterman and discounts the two cancelled shows in Madrid. So since June 11, 2008 and up until the end of the current tour in October is 507 days.
157 shows in 507 days doesn't sound that much on paper but a lot of the 'time off' they've had includes an incredible amount of travelling, media work and of course the recording of OBTN. So when I post the term days off I mean it lightly!
They've toured the USA and Europe many times and Australia earlier this year.
Personally I think those statistics are really interesting and I'll eat my hat if anyone can name a more hard working band around out the moment. Lest we forget that almost all of 2007 and some of 2008 were taken up with touring BOTT too.
