That's awesome, considering lots of the stuff is really old, I can't wait for this song to be a 'classic', not a fad! Do you know how the countdown was decided? Was it public vote?

All public as far as I know. They've had voting going for several weeks now. Last time they did a Hottest 100 of all time was 20 years ago (I think Joy Division was #1 then?).

That top 20 list is so good, I was wondering about the voting thing because it seems like pop music is the 'in' thing at the moment, but that list proves maybe not... I love the amount of Radiohead there, that makes me a very happy girl!

pretty dull really...very obvious, predictable selection of music. alot of Radiohead, yes but in reality those songs of theirs in there and not in any way shape of form amongst their better songs..
suprising Kings only got Sex On Fire in to be honest...quite well known for a long period of time here.

But I mean of course its going to be predictable songs if its public vote, it would be awesome if everyone voted for some amazing but obscure song, but in reality thats not going to happen. And I'd much rather have Nirvana at number 1 than someone like Fall Out Boy

They really do showcase just about all genres of popular music (thankfully not top 40 though)! I couldn't give you stats but I'd say it's the most popular national radios station amongst young people. I've moved to the US but I still listen to it online sometimes. In all I've been listening for maybe 15 years!
