I really got into Kings of Leon when I saw them on the Bonnaroo 2004 DVD playing Trani and I've seen them 5 times now and they have not played Trani once. I've probably spent $300 on tickets and another $100 on transportation/parking to their shows. I've bought their shirts. I've bought their albums. I've listened to their songs hundreds of times. I've turned a dozen other people in my life on to them. I've waited outside the venues just to get a glimpse of them when they leave.
Alls I'm saying is that I'm a fan, and I live in America. They have no problem playing Trani pretty much everytime they tour Europe but they just won't bring it here. I understand they have been big over there for longer than over here, but there are fans over here who know more than just Sex on Fire. It's not like this song is some obscure b-side or a song that just a few people love. I'm pretty sure every Kings of Leon fan loves this song and have been loving it for years.
I already have tickets for their next show in Mass in September and I'll probably be getting there 5 hours early to get to the front of the general admission pit and at this point I truly would not be disappointed if they came on stage, played Trani for 5 minutes and walked off the stage without playing another song.
Just to make it clear, I'm not planning on hating Kings of Leon if they continue not to play Trani here and I don't mean to b*tch and moan about it. I just find it frustrating that they continually leave it off their setlist here and then pop it right back in when they go to another country.
