they definitely need to take a year off. for their own sakes! they are tired all the time now and it's not healthy. real fans will always be around, maybe SOF fans need other new stuff because they don't really give a shit about how the boys are doing . but for people who care -us HAers for example - it hurts to see them always so tired. They will end up hating doing music too if they don't take a break. I want them to have fun, they have the best job in the world and they should enjoy it! so yes , guys take your well deserved break when this tour ends! and then for the next tour come in Italy or I'll kill someone!!

they're sooo complicated lol. and thank god for that. makes them even more interesting. they're almost as conflicted about their future as i am about mine. i think i worry about it so much because they are such a huge part of my life... without their music i wouldn't make it through the rough days... and they make my good days great!

Kinda the same here, I don't know what I would do if they said they were giving up music, to be honest the only thing I'm looking forward to is them doing a new tour so I can go and see them, and I'd rather wait a while if they need a break, I wouldn't want them to feel like they have to keep touring or they'll lose their fans. I know part of that sounds selfish but the way I see it is that they perform, give us fans a good time, and in return we buy their albums, put them where they are now, and keep them there.

I am all for KOL avoiding burn out and taking time off to spend relaxing, with family and partners etc. but I dont think they looked majorly tired during the shows where I saw them last week, they seemed in great form, except maybe Jared, who as we know loathes the touring!! They looked 100 times more shattered and Jaded around the European/Aussie tour!!
I have been saying for ages that they need time out and I hope they take it if they need it, and I hope they dont feel like their fans wont support them in that because a) real fans would support a break b) KOL arent responsible for our feelings anyway, we're all big enough and ugly enough to suck it up should they chose to take an extended break.
That said, while their touring Ill be at as many shows as I can cause god knows when they may throw in the towel *ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh cant think about that*

Guys take a break. The Peak District is rather nice in June. Trains run from Manchester (England) hourly offpeak. Fetch wellies. And a cag-in-a-bag.

I looked at their tour schedule and they have a couple of 1 1/2 to 2 week breaks through the end of the year. It's not like they play every day, or even every other day. It's not my intention to come in and just be all contrary, but I'm not sure where it seems they're overworked?

They could possibly be overworked because they are constantly on the road, constantly touring between various time zones. The have to do press, do meet n greets, have to do videos for new singles and then on top of all that they do sound checks and shows. Its not like a 9-5 job, they're not working when they're doing a show they have shit loads to do on top of that and if I only had to do the travelling that the boys (& their girlfriends) do Id be completely bollixed, not to mind all the other stuff!! I have no idea how they keep going, my hat is off to them for doing so!!

I don't mean to knock the idea of them being overworked, it just seemed to me like they had a good pace set for what it is they do. I guess it's a matter of perspective. I am sure touring does get tiresome. Having traveled between continents, I know the travel does take a lot out of you. But still, they seem to have paced it well. I would have said they've been sensible with their schedule, but I know I'm not in the majority!

It's not my intention to come in and just be all contrary, but I'm not sure where it seems they're overworked? they still need to travel to the next country or wherever safely, and get jet lag; sound check and rehearse in each new venue; do interviews and music videos; they cant rely go anywhere alone now that theyve gotten big; and they give so much live, calebs voice probably kills him after each show. 2 weeks isnt nearly enough for them to just chillax and just be followills, not rockstars. Jared even said it himself that he hates touring more that anything else in the world. just look at him: they rely need a break. also, nate and jessie need to get marrie sometime and jared and alisa neeeed to break up! and guys, we die hard fans can wait a while for the new record, your health and happiness. the longer the wait, the sweeter itll be. like i was suuuuuuuuuper chuffed to hear the strokes are back makin their first record in 3 years. if they just made it straight after the last record it wouldnt be half as exciting as it is now. mainly, i just want the sof fans to fuck off and find another band to 'love' and leave kol to us, so when they come back from their time off, tickets for the shows can actually go to the real fans, instead of them getting wasted on ppl who just turn up for sof and use somebody and just leave. so please guys, for the sake of yourselves and your real fans, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeae take some time off, and if you get pissed off with boredom, you can use the time to write, say, a bluesy new album while we wait... love you guys!

id miss them so badly if they had a full year off, but seriously is that ever gunna happen? i think it would be a good idea to have at least 4 solid months off, dare i say it , with NO studio time. Like caleb said on the Gonzo interview in "pinacoldaville". i honestly think caleb loves the touring and writing all the time. but i dont want them to be ill and loose touch.and be "in everyones face". so yeah, chillax guys. drink some wine, watch the day go bye.

While I'm thrilled that they've added new dates so now I can see them - I would most definitely wait if need be. I'd rather have a new album in my hands than having to see them in such a large venue that I'll most likely be seated far away...
I think they still have this idea that they'll be able to go home and be normal after all this. They've had that Nashville bubble for a while at home but I think after this year's tour, that's gone too.
I definitely see their determination to pack it all in before it goes away. They're smart and brave, so I think they can hold out. This part of your career only comes around once.
