Right at the barrier between Matt and Caleb - result! Good set, Trani, RML and Cali were amazing - well worth the wait Opened with Be Somebody as you all probably know. Jared hardly faced his amp at all, Matt was his smiley self and when Nathan finished it really looked like he said holy fuck Maybe the blisters were at him Caleb said he had a shit day and the crowd cheered him up. We waited after and low and behold who appears? Only the Lebster himself There was loads of people waiting so he didn't get to sign autographs or get pics with everyone but good old Kayla got a pic so there's evidance to follow. The sum up, great night, not the best ever show but still awesome aside for the annoying drunk high heeled girls from Liverpool behind us who kept referring to Caleb as Calem!!! Pfft. Thank God one of them fainted and had to be carried over the barrier and then the other one had to go too Got to meet Lowri and Chloeg from here - sweethearts And Angie and some other girls from the official forum - sweethearts! Just back at the hotel, tired and dehydrated but high as a kite still |

Never posted on here before. Just got back and reading posts. I was right at the side/back of the stage so have some really good pics of those in the first few rows. Let me know where you were stood/what you are wearing!

Just about back. It was pretty darn good, but I hate arenas, and the MEN is heeeuuuge. It made me reminisce of the Academy days. Ahh well. No surprises in the set list, as far as I can remember was: Be Somebody Crawl Taper Molly's RML Fans Cali Milk Closer Four Kicks Charmer My Party Bucket SOF On Call Notion Cold Desert Trani Use Somebody -- Slow Night Knocked Up Manhattan Black Thumbnail I was dreading them not playing Trani, and I would have been absolutely gutted if they hadn't so yeah. I see what they mean by the reception it gets though, it is painful to see such a gem like Trani getting hardly any reaction beyond the front 10 rows then the whole place jumping for Use Somebody. Loads of people were leaving during Cold Desert too. What was with that? Oh and yeah Glasvegas are still shit. |

AAAAAAAAAAAAAA *Takes breath* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! That just about sums up how excited I've been all night at the gig! Right, while it's still fresh in my head, here's the setlist. The first three and the encore are pretty much in the right order, but the middle is anyone's guess! Be Somebody Crawl Taper Jean Girl Fans Molly's Chambers California Waiting Charmer Red Morning Light Milk Closer Notion Cold Desert Trani On Call Sex On Fire The Bucket My Party Four Kicks Use Somebody --- Slow Night, So Long Knocked Up Black Thumbnail Manhattan So there you have it. The atmosphere was absolutely electric. I was going mental all the way through! I was especially happy to have California Waiting, Red Morning Light and Trani. I had Trani last time, but I wasn't sure I'd ever hear it again. Cali was just amazing, it's one of my fave KOL songs ever. Stand out moments for me (apart from the whole damn thing...) were: California Waiting. Beautifully done, just the way it should be. Milk. I love it, but I've never loved it quite as much as I did tonight. There was something magical about it! Cold Desert. Caleb never fails to put his emotion right there in his voice. I cried and everything! Trani. It was just godly, and Matt was getting his sex faces on! Knocked Up. As always, the "whoa"s were tear-jerking. Just goes to show how one vocal phrase brings thousands of strangers together. Manhattan. It was so joyful, I was dancing like there was no one else in the place, grinning my head off! There was also a moment where Caleb was really really nice to us. Not that he isn't always! But he mentioned about how England has always embraced KOL from the beginning, even when other places didn't catch on. He said "we play shows in other places and people say "I know Kings Of Leon"." And then he looked at us all with a little smile before he said "they don't fucking know Kings Of Leon, you guys know Kings Of Leon." They absolutely blew the roof off once again. My camera is rather shite, but here is the best picture I could come up with. (It's rubbish)  Followed by a line of Matts on the screen!  And a line of Calebs on the screen!  Believe me guys, it was beautiful. I hope tomorrow is just as great for everyone who's going to that!  xxx |
