it was crazy to wake up to KOL. i loved it! i was sooo excited to see Lisa and Lara front and center! i think the rain might've dampered the excitement in the crowd. but just the fact that there were over 20 thousand people there...well, it says alot! the interview was ridiculous...at one point she asks them, "you didn't even play instruments, what made you think you could start a band?" i was sooo offended! but matty came back with a good response. BTW how HOT did they all look??! goodness gracious, i love them...

I forgot about that little part of the interview....I guess my main thinking in that it was a decent interview was that she knew their names... eh....

There weren't 20,000 people there...they said that 20,000 requested fan passes.

Everyone's giving Meredith shit for that comment, but I actually don't think she meant it that way...you know how things can come out wrong...but who knows.
I seriously LOL'd when they panned to Ann! She was one with the music. She looked awkward was it was kind of endearing as some one else said.

the interview was ridiculous...at one point she asks them, "you didn't even play instruments, what made you think you could start a band?" I don't see whats wrong with that comment. I mean i would never think to start a band with no instuments! So why did they think they could? Reasonable question.

Yes. (not that i know what that was but i can assume) I think at the way they are going now they could very well be U2. Not a good look.

I liked how she included the three of them (Nathan being busy with his breakfast beer) with her questions. Usually interviewers either go straight for Caleb, or just let the chatty ones dominate.

heyy ok so i only recently recovered from this morning's events..i was awake for over 24 hours and i know that most of the people were on the same boat as me. and i think the crowd was pretty dead when the camera recorded us because at that point we had already heard all the songs bc everyone was there for the soundcheck.
when the were doin the soundcheck the crowd was intennnnnse..then there was a serious downpour..like legit terrential (sp? lol) rain!!..so we were pretty miserable by the end of it..and no one could see anything unless u were like 6 feet tall bc of all the umbrellas and the stage wasnt high at all. i never once saw any of the guys and we couldnt even hear the interview..but when they played they sounded AWESOME!!
it was a veryyy exhausting day i fell asleep in public today mroe times than necessar..even slept on benches and set my alarm to make sure i wouldnt miss my train back home lol
all in all..it was soo worth it bc i got to see JEN!! and dance in the rain =)

Just watched the videos. I was highly amused by the soccer moms, tweens, and middle-aged news anchors bopping about to the Kings. I'm not even joking- It's really endearing to me how KOL brings everyone together. My fave is when Anne Curry had her eyes closed and was rocking out in her own little way to "Notion". It gave me the warm and fuzzies. It's like she was having a flashback of her glory days as a Deadhead or something. P.S- I loved how Caleb looked in the camera and almost gave gave a wee smile saying "head while I'm driving" in SOF. He was like a little kid that got away with saying a curse word. Karma for catching that part too! I loved the look on his face!

You know people, we are missing the most awesome fact about the whole event...KOL was on Today! That kind of exposure means that they have made it in the US! Finally, we don't have to be embarrassed about the response the US gives to them. Also, did you notice that Use Somebody is now #5 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. That's huge people!

I'm not even joking- It's really endearing to me how KOL brings everyone together. I absolutely agree with you. I thought it was so cool to see so many different types of people there...the teenyboppers, twenty-something guys, middle-aged guys in suits singing along, twenty-something girls...some cougars, and that adorable little boy who thought he was Fonzie when the camera went on him! I have no problem with the teenyboppers. I listened to Pearl Jam/Metallica/Nirvana, etc. when I was 12, then by the time I was 18-19, I got stuck in an *NSYNC/BSB/Britney Spears rut which didn't lead me to branch out and discover new artists for a while. So if the teenyboppers like these grown ass men because they're hot (hello, they are) and they like the music and it expands their musical horizons beyond the Jonas Brothers, that's great! As for the cougars/soccer moms/news anchors, I can't blame them either! My favorite part was when Ann Curry presumably fulfilled her fantasy and touched Caleb's bicep! LOL!

I don't think they fully believe it though...did you see Caleb's face when she said something about the US loving them now? I think instead of them saying 'no one in America likes us' they'll be saying 'America only like us because of Sex on Fire'. But that's just what I think, I have no idea how they really feel. I'm just basing this on what they give off and who makes up the majority of new American fans.

i agree... the US only loves them for SOF and Use Somebody (well not all of us of course) my friends are all starting to claim to be KOL fans... but when i ask them what their favorite song is from the previous 3 albums they look at me with a dumbfounded look on their face... that's not real love

I was waaaay in the back, but standing on a barricade so I was able to see their heads. The rain was SO bad, and the umbrella I bought sprung a leak The guys looked adorable, as always, and they sounded fantastic! I saw Nacho afterwards, and he was friendly and polite, as usual.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xcb-nR1WhyAI thought this sound check performance was way more interesting that the actual one. Plus all the cut away crap of the audience isn't included!!! More KOL, less unamusing tards!
