yeah, annie wrote that the people behind her and her friends told them to sit down in the other thread when they stood up and were holding a sign.... and he must have read that and mentioned that they "aren't a sit down band" obviously backing annie and the older fans up and kindly telling everyone in the stands to GET THE FUCK UP!!!  NO joe's head?! dammit! ive been looking forward to that popping up on youtube  i saw a short interview on the news this morning and Jared and matt went to the Melbourne aquiarium... Upon moving to Sydney (as a Nashville native), I was amazed to see how huge KOL are in Australia ....especially as Americans still haven't quite gotten the memo about how awesome they are. It was great to see them in such a big venue - stark constrast to the other other places I've seen them! KOL, as always, didn't fail to impress. I've never seen such a band so spot on with their live performances -- 100% vocally and musically. Unfortunately, with big venues comes the dreaded seating. Despite wasting half a day on ticketmaster (pre-sale and normal sale), I could NOT get general admission tickets. The atmosphere in the seating section was pretty dull - everybody was sitting until Caleb made his get up comment. I'm truly happy to see a longtime favorite band of mine get so big and popular. It's not fair that only rockstars can't have career ambition ...but I can't help but feel a bit cheated when seeing so many blank faces during pre-Only By The Night material and excitement only displayed during 'Sex on Fire.' This lame couple even left right after that song! Too bad for them because they missed an amazing encore - "Charmer" was absoutely fantastic. It was very sweet how Matthew and Caleb took the time to wave to each section of the crowd! ...and I was quite impressed with Caleb's dance 'moves.' Most bands just stand there or are totally spastic. Actually, last time I saw them, they definitely just stood there. GREAT show - I never expected less - only can selfishly hope to see them in some smaller venues when back in the USA. P.S. Can any Australians give me the secret to getting GOOD tickets (aka floor/standing) ...do I need to go to the box office or something? From the second tickets went on sale, Ticketmaster was only giving me serious shit. Thanks  |

I'm confused now, he said something about a sign? Thanks i glad to here you had an awesome time, although that a given i guesss.. we have a native nashville haha and i feel you pain!! tickets are a bitch, a BITCH! apparently they sold out in 7 mins. i got GA but i had a complete spazz attack refreshing on ticketmaster.. it just comes down to luck. thats not really great advice but ou just gotta click like crazy and try a get a spot in the queue... and pre-sales are usually a tad bit easier and great as a back up. so yeah i still cant get my head around that fact people left after sex on fire.. LAME. yes, charmer was fantastic.. THEY OPENED WITH CHARMER IN MELBOURNE.. way to get the crowd pumped up, haha. |

PS. Caleb made reference to someone which was on this forum I think - he said that the person wanted to stand in their seats but the people behind them got cranky with them. Then he said something supportive/encouraging about standing up. So props to whoever wrote that comment. I think Claire said it was an "Annie" who said it. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ We know from what he said at the show Claire and Georgie were at... but if he pointed at you guys... its you that proably made him say to all the people sitting down!!!!!!!!!!! |
