I got to thinkin about this when I saw that interview with Matt & Jared on faceculture and when Jared described the reactions to mistakes. Personally it doenst bother me in the slightest I am usually on such a (natural ) high just from being at the show!! In truth, a lot of the time I don't even notice cause I'm too busy singing and rocking out but sometimes when I do I find it quite endearing. What do you guys think? ?

i don't care. its cool actually. its what make a gig different and unique. does slightly little mistakes are called by some people as highlights. don't really know why but its ok with me. doesn't bother me at all.

you know what's crazy? the mistake they're talking about in that interview, during "use somebody" ? it's crazy because i'm pretty sure they made that mistake at the san diego show when i saw them. and i totally noticed it and told my boyfriend!
but no it didn't bother me in the least bit....

It doesn't bother me. If I noticed a mistake I'd probably point it out and just laugh, such as the euphoric state I'd be in!!

I like when musicians make mistakes. Make them seem more real. Its even better if they laugh it off instead of getting moany.

Yea, I'm with KJ on this one. Anyway, nobody is infallible, everyone makes mistakes.

I think mistakes are great! Jared (I think) played a couple bum notes at the start of Cold Desert when I saw them at the SECC. It adds something to the experience I feel I love the mistake Jared made with the Korg at Rock Werchter I think it was. Sounded like a weird alien noise during the intro for On Call

bhahahaha i remember that i had to go and find the vid for it too, lol
i like mistakes too, it shows that they're human and everyone makes mistakes. no matter how experienced ya are your bound to make a few mistakes along the way

its apart of playing live music
i play in a band and there are always subtle mistakes .. most of them are due to the fact the sound mixing is done wrong and u cant hear yourself properly..but also just down to human error
some shows... everythings perfect..some shows.. a couple things will go wrong..
the main thing is being able to cover up the mistakes..cos most of the time no-one will notice and if its a small mistakes.. no-one will care anyway..cos its damn hard to play perfect night in night out
however there have been a few times where i've admittedly gotten a bit angry with other members in my bands for making really bad mistakes.... (which is something i should not ever do...cos it makes the band look bad when one member reacts badly)

It doesn't bother me at all... theres one mistake that i just love, i think its bonnaroo 04 (not sure) on wasted time, caleb sings the wrong bit and at the end hes like "thats not going on the bonnaroo compilation" or something
